Santa Fe Little School

I enrolled my son here when he was 2-3 years old, while I went to take classes at Santa Fe College as a full-time student. Overall, he seemed to have enjoyed the time here but I always had issues with both his teacher (Carmelita) and especially when dropping him off in the mornings with Heather, she was always so sarcastic and I dreaded having to cross words with her at times. I caught her one time almost dragging my son from the hand, so please watch her carefully. I was always belittled and made feel bad because my poor baby wasn't talking yet like the other children around his age. I was pressured several times to take him to speech therapy, which I did, and even they never found anything wrong with him; they just assumed he was taking longer than usual. This went on for the whole time I had my son enrolled here which was close to a year. He eventually started speaking at close to 3 and a half years old. He never had any issues with his speech after this - just like I knew all along. There's so much more additional stories I have about this place. Like for example, I was paying out of pocket and I would take my son here only on the days I had classes which was like 2-3 out of 5 days. Even with that, I was being scolded? I didn't realize they were treating it as an actual school and they took attendance based off this? Everyone here wasn't so terrible, though, but I enrolled my son here because I supposedly heard some good things about this place but honestly my experience wasn't so great and I admit I pulled him from here because of all this and I'm glad I never turned back. So to be fair, that's why I'm giving them a 3 out of 5 stars because the class material wasn't so bad but certain people here gave me a sad experience I will never forget.

All three of my oldest children have attended the Little School and my youngest will begin soon. I love the low ratio- teachers can give children the attention they deserve while being away from their parents. Most of the children attend The Little School from toddler until VPK. My children left with high levels of academic knowledge as well as great social and emotional skills. The staff is great at what they do and very passionate about child care. I recommend The Little School to all parents!

We love sending our daughter here, we know she's being well taken care of by amazing staff/teachers.
