SCUMP is AMAZING! I have been sending my daughter here for about a year and I have nothing but good things to say. The director is so nice and caring; she is always available should you need her. The entire staff is extremely respectful and helpful-if you have questions or concerns. My daughter's teachers are fabulous; so caring and nurturing. They give every child in the class the support and attention they require and they communicate with you. SCUMP has helped my daughter socialize and learn new skills. She comes home talking about all the things they learned that day. It has been so fun hearing all about it and seeing her grow. 10/10 would recommend.

SCUMP is just the best - organized, communicative, safe and FUN! Great community, and our son is happy to go each and every day. We've been at 4 different preschools between our 3 kids in the past 10 years and SCUMP is hands down the best experience we've had. Thank you for everything you do!

If you live in the San Carlos area and you are looking for excellent child care please do yourself a favor and look into this preschool. Your child must be 2.5 years old and potty trained. They follow the San Diego Unified School district calendar so if you have children who are in elementary they will be on the same schedule. This school has so much to offer each individual child. This school isn't just a school but a community. A warm, loving, and accepting community. The teachers are phenomenal, the directors are attentive and detail oriented, and the school is truly made for your child to thrive and explore. If your child doesn't nap, not a problem they will teach them to do quiet activities because children don't nap when they move on to elementary school. If your child is enrolled in speech therapy, occupational therapy, or ABA services this school welcomes but does not require you to have these services. The director is the biggest advocate for allowing resources that your child needs to help them thrive. The teachers are very communicative. If they notice changes or have concerns they address it with you. The teachers work really hard to problem solve and provide recommendations, and most importantly work together with the parents to create a better learning environment for the child. They offer a variety of schedules: M-F (full days or half days) M,W, F (full days or half days), and T/TH (full days or half days). If you have a scheduling issue you can always use the AM or Afternoon extended day care (just sign up the day of, no advance notice) just don't forget to bring a nap bag! The school has a cafeteria and a monthly calendar of food served or you can pack your kids own lunch. Each class has a dedicated day to go with the music teacher or the fun and fitness instructor who builds fun obstacle courses and helps children get some heavy work in before returning to class. The play area is massive and has the coolest toys. If your child has a toileting accident you will get a note on what happen or if they hurt themselves you will get an ouch report or phone calls for anything that involves the head or face. This school is fantastic, amazing, great, and absolutely sensational. This school is a long list of synonyms for the best if you catch my drift. They will provide the best care for your child and make them feel at home and loved for who they are. If you get into this school you have hit the jackpot and may never want to leave.

REALLY great (amazing IMO) pre-school. Basically under the radar if you are only looking at reviews on Google. I found out about it because my neighbor recommended it.
