Our family has been truly blessed to be part of this wonderful Catholic preschool! Both of our children have attended, our son, who has since graduated, entered first grade ahead of his peers thanks to the incredible academic foundation he received here. Our daughter is currently thriving, growing in confidence, and developing a love for learning that is simply priceless. The teachers are exceptional! Kind, nurturing, and truly dedicated to each child’s success. They create a warm, faith-filled environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. The combination of strong academics, Catholic values, and a caring community has made this preschool the perfect choice for our family. If you’re looking for a preschool that will not only prepare your child for the next step in their education but also nurture their heart and spirit, look no further. We are so grateful for this school and highly recommend it to any family! The location is perfect for parents who live/work in DTLA, NELA, Boyle Heights, or Lincoln Heights.

My daughter went to this school for 3 years. From day one she loved it and never cried. The teachers and staff are very caring and welcoming of all the children. Any concerns they may have, they let the parents know. I loved the small class sizes, the care and education my daughter received here. The sisters were great with all the children. My daughter misses going to school at San Antonio.

The care of one's child is the ultimate responsibility, and I must say that the staff here have been remarkable in the development of our daughter. She stayed here for a couple of years, and her growth and education have been significantly enhanced thanks to the dedicated team. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that the environment is both safe and nurturing. They are attentive to every detail, focusing on the development of each child while creating an exciting and empowering atmosphere for all. This is truly one of the most special places you can bring your children, especially at an early age.

I had to pull my daughter from this school because she said she got hit by sister Irma, sister Claudia, and sister Mayra. I had a meeting with the director Sister Veronica and teacher Ms.Iiris regarding this incident and they denied. Of course I don't expect to get a confession out of them and unfortunately the classrooms don't have cameras inside them. This was my biggest fear as a parent because I've heard of horrible things happening to kids in daycares/schools especially when they're so young and can't fully articulate themselves. It broke my heart because my daughter told me that when they hit her she was crying for mommy and grandma. I didn't want to believe it at first because the staff seems to nice after all they are nuns so I thought they would take the best care of my child. I was also unsatisfied with how unresponsive Ms.Iiris was throughout the school year she wouldn't respond to my emails or claim she didn't receive and email. It was hard to get a hold of her. At the beginning of the school year my daughter would tell me that she was being put on time out too and I would email her teacher to figure out what happened, no response. I eventually asked her in person and she denied putting her on time out and said "the kids play that." To me it seems like they would get frustrated with the kids and put them on time out. She would come home with bruises and I understand toddlers run and fall all I was asking for was an update on what happened they told me the my daughter didn't let them know that she fell so they couldn't do an incident report, which is absurd if they're actually being supervised the teacher should have witnessed her constant falls and explain her bruises. They didn't do any incident reports until the end of the school year when they started communicating a bit more. It's unfortunate I was excited to have found a place where my daughter could learn about God and go to church with her friends but as parents we are our childs advocate. It's better to be safe and listen to our kids. If you send your kids here be careful I'm sharing this to inform other parents on my experience because I know they only have good reviews.

San Antonio de Padua Academy Preschool is an excellent school! My child was well prepared for Kindergarten. The skills taught at this school are advanced and children are ready to begin reading after leaving the school. Children are well cared for in a loving and caring atmosphere. My daughter really loved this school and really misses the Franciscan Sisters and staff.
