We love the staff! A building is always a building, but the people inside is what can truly set a day care apart from others. We are SO BLESSED to have a director like Denise. Good starts at the top and that’s what you experience at Salem with Ms. Denise and her team. Her assistant Julie is always so helpful and communicative. She is always so quick to respond to messages. Teachers, like Ali, Hannah, and Demya, are the bright spot of my day some times. After a long day at work, seeing my baby in their care, all smiles and happy makes being away all day so much easier. They make Salem Child care the place that it is and we are so lucky we found them 🥰 sure it’s pricey and you may not feel like you’re getting much for your money, but with Denise and her team, you’re getting so much!

Imagine choosing a daycare based on the people — the directors, the staff, the warmth of the atmosphere. Imagine trusting them enough to leave your most precious possession in their care day after day, year after year. You build relationships, routines, and a sense of safety, believing your child is truly known and protected. Then imagine waking up one day to find that world completely turned upside down. Without warning, the directors are abruptly fired to satisfy personal agendas. The children’s needs and safety are pushed to the wayside, and the environment shifts overnight. Dedicated staff are left feeling so uncomfortable and unsupported that they feel they have no choice but to leave. One by one, the people you trusted — the people who knew your child — are suddenly gone. All of this has happened with little to no communication from the board supposedly responsible for making decisions in the best interest of the children. Instead, choices appear to be driven by internal motives rather than what is best for the families who entrusted them with their children. Until January 12, my experience with this daycare was truly five stars. Watching how the staff have been treated since then — and the complete lack of transparency and regard for stability — has been nothing short of zero stars.

My daughter attended preschool here and absolutely loved it. The facility is secure and well monitored. Everyday my daughter would bring home something she made and couldn’t stop talking about her day at “school”. There is some homework sent home weekly for the children to complete. My daughter learned so much during her time here and is more than ready for kindergarten! If you’re looking for a loving/learning environment..... then this is the place!
