What Parents Say
Reviews praise Saint Paul's Episcopal Church as a historic and welcoming community space with beautiful architecture and friendly staff. However, these reviews appear to be about the church itself rather than its daycare services, making it unclear how well it functions as a childcare center.
This was a segregated congregation well into the 1960s. Well after the Federal mandate to desegregate. I wish the history of St. Paul's acknowledged this. The book at Canaans Edge by Taylor Branch talks about this exact church.
I’m going to give them a 5 because the folks were nice. I went in to pay my respects to Leonidas Polk. The man was happy to take me turn by turn to the location, and he was just as surprised as I was to see that an organ had been moved on top of his grave, totally obscuring its view. The gentleman with me didn’t realize they had already set up for a concert, so I was fine with it. Sure I’d have loved to have seen his grave, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
St Paul's is one of the most historic church's in Selma. It is beautiful and the people are very welcoming!! The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had!!
Possibly my favorite building in Selma. Awe-inspiring nave and sanctuary, with an especially impressive stained glass window in the adjoining hall. Very friendly people.
