What Parents Say
Saint John Preschool receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with parents praising strong academics, Christian values, attentive staff, and children's developmental progress. One parent reported significant concerns about frequent facility closures, questionable fever screening practices, and inflexible field trip policies that disrupted work schedules.
Our family’s experience with this school has been nothing but positive. Our daughter attended from 2015–2018, and we were extremely proud of how much she learned both educationally and biblically. By the time she was in the 4K class, she was reading and writing, and she was also being introduced to Spanish and sign language, which truly impressed us. Because of the strong foundation she received, she continues to thrive today. I didn’t hesitate for a moment when deciding where to send our second child. He is now attending the school and is receiving the same level of care, education, and Christ-centered foundation that his sister did. His teachers, Ms. Keah and Ms. Parks are amazing. They are attentive, caring, and communicates extremely well. I highly recommend this school to any family seeking strong academics combined with a solid Christian foundation.
St. John’s has truly been one of the best things to happen for our family. Before finding SJPS, my mother and I visited nearly every daycare and school in the area, and nothing seemed to be the right fit. St. John’s was our very last phone call—and it turned out to be exactly what we had been praying for. From the very first interaction, Mrs. Nelson and the entire staff were warm, welcoming, clear, and incredibly supportive. Their professionalism and kindness were a breath of fresh air. My son immediately felt comfortable—playing with the children, engaging with the staff, and embracing the environment as if he had been there all along. Since joining SJPS, my two-year-old has truly blossomed. He has not only learned to recite his alphabet but can now recognize individual letters. He can accurately identify colors, and he is speaking clearly in full sentences, expressing his needs and thoughts with growing confidence. We are beyond grateful for our SJPS family and the exceptional care, love, and education they provide.
My family loves St. John Preparatory School. My children look forward to going to school every day. The teachers are wonderful and work hard with the babies each day. I love to see that my kids are learning and being loved on. It really makes us feel good to drop our kids off knowing they are in good hands.
My daughter attended this preschool for about two or three months. The first issue was how often they randomly close, the duration in which they stay closed, while still expecting for childcare to be paid. That’s a major issue because the work force does not care about the fact that the daycare is constantly closing for whatever the reason. It’s not easy at all to find someone to keep your child because of random / last minute closings. Secondly, my daughter was sent home due to a low grade / questionable fever. She had no fever. This happened twice. Multiple kids were almost sent home (as I witnessed) because the elderly lady’s thermometer was reading high. We had to walk our kid down the hall to see if the “temp” would go down. It’s truly concerning. Especially after the temperature from the thermometer didn’t line up with the policy in which kids should be sent home. Finally, field trips shouldn’t be an option if parents have to take off work just for their child to go. The entire school grade shouldn’t have to close because a child can’t go on a field trip. If the facility is under staffed then an alternative has to be figured out. We were the first military family, but I will not be recommending this preschool as our command will chew us alive for constantly calling out of duty. We have never experienced a childcare facility like this before. If you’re going to have a policy, the policy should be followed accordingly.
The best school in the area for 2yr - pre k kiddies. Structured fun classes, homework to build on weekly lessons (very important) and plenty of amazing, attentive loving teachers. This preschool is great in helping prepare and transition kids for the kindergarten class.A++++
