What Parents Say
Saint Anne Episcopal Child Care Center receives mixed reviews. While some parents praise small class sizes, caring teachers, and attentive staff, others report serious concerns including high staff turnover, inattentive caregiving, dismissal of non-verbal children, and inappropriate discipline practices including excessive time-outs and yelling at children.
My babies have been attending Saint Ann for almost a year now, the teachers\caregivers come in go every two-three weeks. The staff are always on their phones. The staff paint a picture to the parents but me and my husband did a pop up n staff were yelling at the babies. They recently hired a new director, she's rude and have very bad communication skills and kicked my one and two year old babies out of the daycare simply because they are nonverbal right now ( which the Therapist comes to visit them often at the center) I thought this was a daycare, not a preschool. She would tell me my babies were acting out but the staff would say different. Their not productive with the babies, instead they let them run around while the tend to their phones. I have no clue why she did what she did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND...... Don't let these people lie to yu...... SMH
I worked here and had my son enrolled 1 year ago. As a teacher, I worked in the toddler (1-2yr) room and loved my job. My co-workers may have been lazy and did not want to play with the kids, but I truly enjoyed being with them and that class awoke my love of teaching. My son was 2.5yrs at the time and was in the preschool room under Lexi and Tempi. At first, things were fine, but then I found my son throwing tantrums whenever he realized we were heading towards the day care. He would cry and beg not to go. I found during nap time once that Lexi had taken him into the main bathroom and was yelling at him to stop crying while he was bawling. After that, he was constantly in time out (a chair facing the wall next to the in class bathroom) for crying, which just made him cry even more. I had told the day care that he had never been away from me and probably had separation anxiety, but, instead of assuring him and working with him to get used to things, they punished him for missing me. The director at the time was nice and I could tell she meant well, but she was clearly overwhelmed. I eventually had enough of how they treated my son and how they treated my concern for him, so I left. A year later, my family is still trying to recover from the trauma and my son now has PTSD so even the mention of “school” (the term we used for daycare at the time) or “time out” sends him into a panic.
The Saint Anne child care center is wonderful! The classes are smal, the teachers are very caring. The children are happy and engaged. I would recommend everyone check them out!
Saint Anne Childcare is an excellent place! The classes are very small, and the teachers are very attentive. I would recommend this childcare center for any parent in search of excellence.
Every time I picked up my daughter she was happy. I knew her teachers loved her and cared for her. They did and excellent job keeping me posted on what she needed. Everyone was friendly. If we ever need child care again this will be the first place I go.
