Safe Harbor Daycare

If you read any negative reviews, please know that those comments reflect a completely different staff and director. My children have been enrolled in Safe Harbor since 10/2018. We have seen a lot of teachers come and go. My husband and I were ready to find a new daycare before the new director came on. Haley is AMAZING and truly is a blessing. She was able to weed out the bad apples and bring a better, more child and Christ centered childcare to all of the kids here. My boys have flourished with the help of director Haley as well as all of the new teachers. Not only do my kids get to learn about Jesus and His love for the world, but they also get to have fun while doing it. Haley gives updates on the Facebook page with lots of pictures and is really hands on with the kids. They get to learn about all sorts of topics like space, animals different career opportunities, etc. If I ever have a problem or being anything to the staff, they are quick to help resolve the issue or find a solution. I am beyond grateful that Haley came on when she did in March. I cannot recommend this place for your babies enough! Very thankful to all of our teachers for the love they give my children. It isn’t just a job to them; you can tell they truly care about the children they teach!

I am the New Director over Safe Harbor Daycare and I can’t say enough amazing things about The Staff, Parents and Children! My transition was not easy having to start in the beginning of a pandemic... However the Family & Staff here have made my job 100x sweeter! Please come and see all the amazing changes I have implemented plus meet new staff members... My son is 4. He has been in the academy with Mrs. Wilkinson and he goes to after care with miss Kylie. I cannot say enough good things about these ladies in particular. They have went above and beyond for my son. He was a wild child and hard to work with in the beginning (he also has ADHD). They have done so well with him. He will be starting kindergarten next year, beyond ready. I am sad that he will no longer be going to safe harbor. My son had accused a previous daycare of abuse in the past so I was extremely scared to place him in the hands of another daycare but these ladies have eased my mind. I know when I drop him off he is safe and well cared for. I never have an ounce of doubt when I leave him in the morning. It has been an absolute blessing to have that fear lifted off my shoulders. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is the best in my opinion.

Safe Harbor Academy- My son loves being apart of the preschool academy! He has learned so much this year. I feel confident that he is prepared both academically and socially for kindergarten thanks to Mrs. Wilkinson’s leading. He gets most excited about doing science experiments in class! He has made great friends as well. I appreciate that Mrs. Wilkinson communicates with parents consistently and is quick to address any concerns that inevitably occur when working with preschoolers! Mrs. Wilkinson also is a very kind and generous person who does not hesitate to support the kids and families that are apart of her class. It has been a great experience!

I love this daycare. The building was previously an elementary school so rooms are large and designed for kids rather than being converted from a home or commercial building. The school’s gym is perfect for letting the kids have space to run and play even when the weather is bad. My children have attended for almost a year and look forward to going in the morning and are in no rush to leave at the end of the day. They hug on their teachers at every chance and the teachers show genuine affection in return.
