I have a 4 year old in preschool and a 2 year old in the Wee explorers program here. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this school is. From the teachers , to admin and the school community , it's been amazing and both my kids love it.

Wow, this is a special place there really isn’t another preschool like this in the Springs. I have tried four preschools in town (Yak Academy, Discovery Trails, & Global Villiage preschool now defunct) Ruh Washburn is by far superior, here is why. The staff is AMAZING, you will not find a team of people more kind, encouraging and nonjudgmental. You can approach the director and teachers with questions, concerns or advice and receive honest helpful feedback. The school grounds and commitment to outdoor play is really special, even on snowy days they bring out sleds and help with mittens and boots. Our family has dietary restrictions and even though parents rotate bringing snacks my child was never excluded because it’s their policy to accommodate everyone. Snack time is so sweet, children eat together, pour their own water, clean up themselves and it feels like a real community. The classrooms are large and the toys are rotated, each day has new arts and crafts (they do all the messy wonderful projects) and hands on stations for science, engineering & building. Few classrooms will provide your child with real tools to work with but the vibe at the school is to try new things and explore. Overall, this is a play based preschool but they routinely do acidemic skills, counting on the abucus to 20 before meals, signing in upon entry themselves by tracing their names, circle time is full of math, counting and letter identification. The teachers read stories every day and the school has its own private library you can barrow books. Don’t be scared off by the parent volunteer aspect of this coop. The adult child ratio is always great, classrooms are well managed, & you will meet many other families! After care is a great solution if you need your child to have a full day. This place offers young children magic, adventure and nurturing adults, and this school is really a gift to have in childhood.

This preschool is amazing. The people here are thoughtful, caring and top notch. My wife and I toured another preschool and couldn't believe the difference. There is no comparison. I feel very lucky to be a part of this community.
