Rose Hill Manor Day School

My son started here in January and we decided March would be his last month. This was not our first day care so although no one looks after your child like you, we know there are better ones out there. 1. Fed my child chicken nuggets when we specifically told them we do not eat meat. (He is allergic to eggs and feel as though I could not trust them not to feed him eggs). This was the final straw for us. 2. Decided not to put in diaper during nap time without consulting us. (Our son is 2.5 months although potty trained still needs them during sleep times). 3. Often did not help with (or remind) about bathroom and had several accidents a day despite having none at home for months. 4. Total lack of personal touch - never felt warm welcoming only like a number and business transaction. 5. No food schedule so you don’t know what the children will be fed from day to day. 6. Put child in time outs (I am not against) but never discussed with us or explained to us what happened only heard it from my son. 7. Staff member on her phone shopping while “looking after kids” - did let her go. 8. Tumblebus costs an extra $12 a session which was never explained to us. It parks outside the building in sight. How can you tell a child “no” after he has his free trial (didn’t know was free trial at time). I believe the care is very much dependent on which room your child is in and which teachers they have. This is a very large business with two buildings each with their own baby / toddler room etc. I never felt “welcome” only that it was a transaction. We were originally at steps 2 steps in hopewell jct before moving to Beacon and they treated us like family. They lost my trust and I could not wait to see if things got better.

Good daycare. Average to above average. Our 2.5 year old loves his class and his teachers are great.
