Visited the Rockaway Y today and I have to say I am shocked with how clean it is..I’ve had several members from different gyms and this by far is the cleanest. The Front desk seemed busy( not unusual for a Friday night) but they were so nice greeting me when I walked in. I’m signed up at another location but I am looking to switch to this branch seeing how I just moved to the area.
Stafff soooo rude! Walked in to check out a potential new gym but absolutely not, not giving my money to a facility that can yell at elderly the way i seen. And there was more then 5 people at the front desk and nobody told the lady to relax her tone. God dont like ugly! Fire the rude staff or shut it down .
Don't hesitate, if you've been wanting a great environment to work out in, take a class or play a sport, this place is great. The staff are helpful, friendly, and it's always clean. I call my days here my ME time.
Would give 0 stars if I could, was paying 56.45 for 8-9 months which is a lot for a gym membership when considering you can get a yearly pass at other places for around 275. But yesterday they changed my membership without contacting me and the management decided to charge me 75 a month. They are out of their minds, instant canceled do not create a membership at the ymca (rockaway) they are a bunch of scam artists
Well maintained place. Place has good amount of cardio machines. Pool for kids, cycling classes, lot of other classes like boxing, etc.. people working here seems nice. Overall a great place to come workout. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍
