If you are considering a private kindergarten for your kiddo next year our family can’t recommend Rock Creek School in Superior enough. The class size is small (capped at 12) and the teachers are incredible. Christina Dunlap (lead teacher) was just awarded the 2018 Best Educator Award in Boulder County!! Our daughter just finished the kindergarten program and we couldn’t be happier. She ran out the door every morning because she was so excited to get to school, has grown so much academically and personally and has made incredible friends. As a family we are so appreciative of how flexible the program is. It truly feels like a family and Shantie Toolsie (owner) goes out of her way to make things easy and comfortable for working parents. We just can’t say enough good things about the school and feel so fortunate that our daughter had the opportunity to spend her year with this incredible program. We can't wait to send our youngest when he's old enough. Rock Creek School is really unlike any other private program in the area – it’s everything you could hope for and more for your little one!
The After-School program is awesome! They bus our daughter from school, provide snacks, complete homework and have fun! Picking up our daughter can be a struggle because she never wants to leave. Ms. Shantie is a great Director and has an awesome team in place. Rock Creek School is active in the community and we highly recommend any of their programs.
Our family loves Rock Creek School. They balance academics and fun in a seamless and caring way. My kiddo really enjoys the time spent there, whether it's for day camp, after school or before school there's always something interesting to do. All of that and 'they have the best snacks.' In addition, collaboration and teamwork are emphasized and taught as life skill - which is very important for future success. Ms Shantie couldn't be a better teacher/small business owner/community advocate!
Rock Creek School has been a pivotal and delightful experience for my son and family. He attended Kindergarten there this past year. Developing more confidence and finding joy and agency in his own learning journey, he thrived at Rock Creek. This is a testament to the professionalism, engagement, and dedication of the whole staff. The small class size, community engagement, and expert teachers are truly the complete package. A diversity of rich experiences such as frequent field trips, interacting with the community, and reading with visiting therapy dogs combined with top-notch teaching and learning tailored for each child make RCS an absolute standout!
