What Parents Say
These reviews appear to be for a library, not a daycare center. Reviewers consistently praise the welcoming and helpful staff, clean facilities, and quality children's programming including Mother Goose story time and book clubs.
This is my local library and as someone who has grown up at various libraries this one is truly idyllic. Brought my nephews here this past summer and neither of them wanted to leave. Both children’s library showed so much devotion to these kids and their exploration through books. So blessed to have access to such a beautiful space.
Thought I liked it here until I had to pay $9 for damages my child didn’t do to a book. Returned a book 3 weeks ago, and when I took my child to get books yesterday (8.30.24), I was greeted with a bill, the lady behind the desk told me it was because a book had “water damage”, I remember borrowing the book and showing it to an employee who said “it’s okay, we just put those out”. When I spoke to the manager she claimed the person told her they’ve “never seen that book before”, and that they would “never loan a book out that looked like that”. It wasn’t about the money I had to pay, it was the fact that my child didn’t damage the book, and I had to pay for someone else mistake. I even asked her to check her camera, which she said they don’t have any. Absolutely ridiculous! Moving forward if I borrow anything from their library, I will be recording for myself. Be careful when checking out your books, make sure to open them up and inspect because these people are liars.
I visited this library today after living in the neighborhood for the last 3 years and it was my first and last. The library is extremely small, super noisy and unfortunately the staff doesn’t address the noise levels. Even staff helping with computer requests was entirely too loud especially for such a small space. Resources were limited the librarian tried to get me some basic information to no avail in the location but was redirected to online (which was fine). The children section was cute and clean. Library is entirely too cold during October the air was blasting!
A great neighborhood library. Very small, quiet, and clean. I like going to this location to do research on the computer and also look at books. Today there was a vision pack to take home which I thought was a fabulous idea. Inside the vision board pack was a large clear palette as well as two pages to create your vision board. This location is very close to Rochdale Mall 2 where you can go to the bank or Dunkin Donuts or visit the local variety store!
Library is very nice and useful, by default. The staff in particular is what makes it worth a visit. Considering it has been quite some time since I last visited a library, I always have questions, to which the answers might be pretty simple and often are. The staff, however, handles and answers my questions with respect and care. If they treat me like this, the children for sure must get red carpet treatment! Simply asking that you keep it up, it will not go without notice!
