My daughter is 8 months she has been going to Robyns Nest for a little over a month now in the baby house! I live in Burlington but I work in Pittsboro which is my hometown....I feel comfortable EVERYDAY I drop her off! She is overly taken care of...I appreciate the extra care plus the compassion of this daycare! Thank you for making this so easy for me....future PARENTS ROBYN NEST IS THE PLACE FOR A CHILD!😍❤
Robyn's nest offers a safe facility for your child located conveniently off of 15-501 in the Pittsboro area. I am giving 2 stars solely for the convenience, pricing, and safety provided. However, there is much more needed in order to help a child grow and learn. Our child transferred here from a corporate learning center and we were severely disappointed in the growth (or lack thereof) in 4 months she was there. In fact, it was a regression of her skills. I never saw them pick up a book, or anything really that would involve learning other than play all day with toys and play dress up. I tried to look past the fact of the above but it never got better and probably more disturbing were the fact habits our child came home with in the last 2 months specifically. From the new agression to finger pointing and the inability to tell/show us skills she had already learned from the previous establishment, we decided it's best to move on so that she isn't hindered anymore. This place is more of daycare than one of a learning center and I'm speaking solely from my experience. They don't send you daily updates of what they did each day so you dont know what they actually learned. Absolutely nothing is digital or electronic. (No apps) The structure of learning permeates from the top and needless to say needs some serious review at Robyn's Nest.
All 3 of my kids have gone here. The staff are nice and the kids are well taken care of. If you are looking for someone to teach your child in a one on one setting, life skills, and everything in between, you may have the bar set too high. Kids are kids. They socialize at this age and learn thru play and interaction with others. There is more than one child in each classroom and teachers teach according to the skill level of the class as a whole. If you want more of a school setting then this may not be the best fit for your needs. Besides teaching your kid life skills and behavior should be the job of a parent, not a facility.
