We've sent our son to RAMPP for the last two years, and it's been wonderful. The teachers are all so kind and welcoming to the children and their families. Our son has learned so much over the last two years, and we feel very prepared for kindergarten. The imaginative activities are borne from the children's ideas, creating new days. Our son always came home happy (and tired!), having had a full day. The teachers send pictures so you get to see what they're doing each day. We will miss robots and mud pies, and would highly recommend it.
All three of our kids attended Robots and Mudpies, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff is incredibly consistent and caring, creating a warm, stable environment. The preschool focuses on student-driven learning through play, which really helped our kids grow socially, emotionally, and academically. It also fosters independence in such a natural way. We LOVE robots and mudpies. I rave about this preschool to anyone that will listen. ☺️ Our son thrives here and we can’t wait for our daughter to be old enough to attend in the fall. I truly think it’s the best place in Richmond for kiddos 2-5. I wish my kids could go here forever. We are so thankful for the amazing staff and incredible care at this school. The kids get to learn by playing, being around other children both older and younger than them, different rooms set up for them, and the year is sort of made by the kids interest, they play outside, parents can volunteer and see how the days go, and we know all the kids and their families. It’s a very safe, welcoming, and comfortable space to be. Couldn’t recommend it more!
We absolutely love Robots & Mudpies Preschool! After a disappointing experience with our previous daycare, I was feeling pretty discouraged—until a friend recommended Robots & Mudpies. It’s been a total game-changer. This magical little preschool (for ages 2-5) is small, cozy, and deeply rooted in Reggio Emilia practices, which means everything is done through play, exploration, and imagination. The space itself feels like a whimsical, welcoming home, and the playground? A total dream—just dirt, sand, and endless opportunities for creative discovery. Since my son Leo started in February, I’ve noticed such a beautiful transformation in him: he’s braver, more curious, more creative, and even finds joy in the little things. The teachers are incredible—nurturing, consistent, and deeply experienced. Many have been with the school for years, and it shows. I feel so lucky to have found this place and to know that my youngest, Joy, is already signed up to start in February! If you’re looking for a preschool that truly honors childhood and inspires wonder, this is it. I can’t recommend it enough.
Our son attended RAMPP from the ages of 3-5 and we could not be happier with our experience. He adored going to school and loved his teachers. I volunteered and saw firsthand how loving, patient, and kind the teachers are, as well as how well they handled the tougher moments with the children. The children were able to play and socialize, participate in a variety of experiments and activities, and learn, while also having the freedom to be kids. I wholeheartedly recommend RAMPP!
