Sense the Church removed me tagging them without reaching out or apologizing/taking accountability I’ll post here instead where they can’t hide I normally keep my life drama free, but i cant get over how fake this church can is. Can you image going to the same church for over 20 years with hundreds of people and then only the pastor and his wife shows up to the funeral. He even left colorado because he wanted to be back to his community, his people……but he sat in there for months because nobody could be bothered to drive a few minutes out of the way to pick him up once a week. He picked that assisted living facility because It was one of the closest. He left hanging out with me and my brother and our kids because thats how much church meant to him. He wanted to spend those final time near his church that he had spent all much time with. Riverview Baptist Church is a joke. My dad went there for 20 years and only a pastor and his wife could be bothered to drive 90 minutes to his funeral. He went there as often as he could, with his eyes failing and his car broken down he still tried though. He got a couple different visitors, but the church community didn’t care about him in his final days, nor did they even care to pretend when he passed. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t have let Him go back to the delusion of friends from riverview. A joke community. They spent more time with him than anybody else as all the family lived states away, they knew him, they talked weekly……..it really does show at the end you find out who your true friends are. “The way we treat our children in the dawn of their lives and the way we treat our elderly in the twilight of their lives is a measure of the quality of a nation.” — Hubert H. Humphrey Based on this their quality as a community, i rate them as trash. An F, 0 out of 10. I do really appreciate one of the pastors and his wife making the trip. I’m sorry your church failed you , my dad / Its own people. You are a light among the darkness.
No, they blamed my mom for leaving a psychologically and physically abusive man because he pretended to be the victim. Sean wouldn’t believe her. They listen to men and blame women for the man’s mistakes. Typical Christian behavior.
My own experience was as an instructor/ guest. I am owner of SCMselfpreservation and was there to teach and awaken the teens and adults to trafficking in our area and around the U.S. We open with a video and then equipped their attendees with practical steps to evade and escape abduction. And techniques to use against those who are the criminals. This one one of the most attentive groups I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. And quickly adopted our motto of I WILL NOT BE YOUR VICTIM. An outstanding group of generous and kind hearted, but strong congregations.
This is our church and we love all the people here. It is a praying church, a caring church, a singing church and a teaching church. They are also very active in missions locally and in foreign countries. They are also an evangelistic church that loves people.
Wonderful church. Great Christian family. Pastor Wilburn really helps you to understand the Bible. When I leave I feel closer to God and inspired to help others.
