Both of our kids love Rising Sun Child Care Center! The teachers are amazing, caring, attentive, and dedicated to the kids. They do so many fun and creative activities, especially outside during the summer. We couldn’t be happier with the care and environment they provide
We were so lucky to have Rising Sun care for our daughter for over two years. I never had a single issue the entire time she attended, and she absolutely loved it. As someone who works in HR, I’m very particular about where I entrust my child’s care. On top of that, my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law have all run daycares. So I came in very familiar (and admittedly a little skeptical) about the industry. Rising Sun exceeded every expectation. The staff are some of the best people I’ve ever met, and the owners are truly top notch. Every staff member seemed to love my daughter as their own. She would literally run into their arms every morning! You can tell they carefully vet their people, and it shows in the warmth and professionalism of the entire team. I often received photos throughout the day showing all the fun activities, which gave me so much peace of mind. When we moved away, I quite literally SOBBED saying goodbye because this place felt like an extension of our family. They have recently opened another location, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and joyful environment for their kids!
As a mama bear at heart, I truly do not have much negative to say about Rising Sun. We’ve been attending for quite some time now—my kiddo is two already! I’ve only ever had one small, mama-bear–induced concern, and it was handled with the utmost care. I honestly don’t think I would have been satisfied with any other response. Ashley and Nick are great leaders, and their team is clearly dedicated to their work. The proof is in the pudding: Rising Sun is a 5-Star YoungStar Program, and that accomplishment wouldn’t be possible without the entire team working together. It’s easy to see the teachers who will help grow, love, and support your kiddos through their most influential years. I feel confident knowing my child is cared for, well loved, and safe at Rising Sun. I’m a big fan of the Procare app, and the staff regularly communicates anything out of the ordinary. I also appreciate the extra peace of mind that comes with security and cameras throughout the center, knowing I could ask to see footage if I ever needed to. Special shout-out to some of our most recent and special teachers: Abby, Shannon, Liz, and Kylie. Each of you has absolutely touched both my heart and my kiddo’s. For you, this isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle. You pour love and learning into tiny humans every single day, and you are EXCEPTIONAL at it. As a single mom, as a professional leader myself, and as an absolute mama bear, I can’t say I would be this confident leaving my kiddo in the care of any other center. One situation that really stands out to me was when there was an active incident in the community and the center went on lockdown. While it was absolutely stressful for everyone involved, Rising Sun handled it with such grace and professionalism that, from the outside, it went off without a hitch. Parents were informed almost immediately, protocols were followed, and Ashley, the owner, immediately requested a police presence at the center for added safety. At pickup, I debriefed with my kiddo’s teacher at the time, Mrs. Abby, and I will never forget her reassurance. She told me that they had everything handled, that the children would always be safe in situations like these, and that the staff is trained and ready to do everything in their power to protect the kids. As a parent, I knew that in theory—but hearing her wholehearted conviction made me realize just how deeply they mean it. It was beautiful to see that level of compassion and care during such a critical moment. I wholeheartedly—and often—recommend Rising Sun. Before enrolling, I toured many facilities throughout the Fox Valley. While the building itself may be older, you won’t find the same longevity and dedication of staff anywhere else. Rising Sun is a true hidden gem. We couldn’t be more thankful ❤️
The staff is kind and caring. Very warm and professional communication daily. My daughter blows kisses as we leave the parking lot each day and looks forward to each morning again!!
My children used to go here. My family has been apart of this center for almost 4 years. I actually considered the management (Ashley) as family friend. Up until recently. I’m not going to sit and say every teacher in this center is horrible because that is inaccurate. There is teachers that truly care about kids here. However- management doesn’t care about the teachers who don’t have those same morals. They will keep staff who repeatedly verbally assaults children, and who assaults other staff members because they don’t want the confrontation. I used to think of this center as a second home. That all changed when I started to see the true colors of the management and staff members and how they treated my kids with my own eyes. My daughter is 1 has a severe dairy allergy and she has been given dairy a total of 4 times by Abby and the older infant teachers and nothing was done. No write ups or consequences. My sons diaper was repeatedly never changed every 2 hours, and sat in his own feces so long when he was 2 that one day it resulted to him being taken into the emergency room and diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. As a parent- I would never recommend this center. I would do your research. Please look somewhere else and save yourself the pain and harassment not only my family went through, by family friends.
