Right Steps Childcare & Academy

This is our second family . My baby is so so loved and taken care of here. He started at 4 months old and All of the staff have been amazing to us,and made being a first time mom having to work full time easier. The managers are amazing and communication is great . The owner has always been so kind with every encounter I have had and my baby’s teachers are absolutely amazing. They love and care for my son and development wise he is exceeding and reaching all of his milestones . The center is very clean and my child always comes home clean,fed and happy. The ladies here are amazing at what they do and I am so blessed I found this daycare for my little one . I have recommended this daycare to everyone . I am so impressed with how much they work with the kids and the amount of love they show these kids . We love everyday we show up and my baby is learning so much .

This place is absolutely unacceptable, and based on what I’ve witnessed and what has been reported, the environment is outright dangerous. The workers are horrible, and the things happening here are beyond disturbing. There have been allegations of teachers kissing kids, encouraging children to fight each other, and showing zero concern when kids are sick or clearly needing help. It feels like they don’t care about safety, health, or basic decency—they only care about money. The director, Sonya, has been extremely unprofessional and rude toward staff, and the favoritism is obvious. They are quick to dress-code certain employees while completely ignoring what long-term staff wear. With everything I’ve seen and heard, I cannot recommend this daycare to anyone. If your child is currently enrolled, I strongly suggest reconsidering for their safety.

I moved on this side of town in may and chose this daycare for my children’s childcare. Needless to say, that was the best decision I’ve ever made. The staff is amazing and family oriented. My children come home with smiles on their faces and that makes me extremely happy. Ms.Shamika is an amazing owner and build real bonds with both parents and the kids. 10/10 highly recommend.

This daycare is absolutely amazing. My son has been attending this daycare for going on 5 months now and when I say I have yet to have any issues or concerns, I truly mean it. My son came from a daycare where he was getting sick literally every week, to starting at right steps and never being sick since he’s started. The director and her staff are very diligent in making sure the facility is in tip top shape and cleanliness is a top priority. I literally smell the cleanliness as soon as they open the door to hand me my child. Another important factor when choosing care for my child is the activities they conduct and if the facility is proactive in teaching the children new things not just so much allowing them to come to care for 8 hours and go home. This academy will work with your child on walking for first time walkers, my son, I kid you not was up and walking within 3 weeks. My son also knows specific request such as being told to sit down, his vocabulary is picking up extremely fast, and overall is being taught manners and so forth. They have the kids participate in activities, example my son had to create an “all about me project” once all projects were submitted, the most creative earned a prize. The children are well fed, kept clean and safety is a top priority from the director and her staff when caring for your children. Communication is outstanding from the director and staff, she is very open and honest about everything and keeps you informed about every bit of information regarding the facility and upcoming trips or projects down to your child and a general day to day update. The center is also very diverse with kids of different ethnic background. If you are looking for comfort in knowing your child is in someone else’s care, please please please send your child here.

Right Steps has been the best choice I ever made for my son. He has grown and developed so much with the staff. Speaking of staff, they are the most amazing group of people I have came across. My son and I have attended events and he greets every person there warmly and excitedly. He will show them his report card from school before he will show me. I could never have asked for a better day care! As a single parent the struggle is very real finding a daycare outside of the 9-5 gig and Right Step nails it by providing those, like myself who work the extended hours during the week, the perfect late hours I need. My son has not once compained about the staff or how he is treated. He does however love to play school at home and act just like Ms Brenda. I highly recommend Right Step to friends, family, coworkers, strangers, neighbors, people at the gas pumps, pretty much to everybody I come across because I am thrilled with everything they do. Keep up the amazing work ladies!!
