Parents emphasize the school's cleanliness, security measures, excellent parent communication, and welcoming atmosphere that helps children thrive emotionally and academically.
My boys and their teachers clearly have a strong bond. The boys get great exposure to a variety of different things from artworks, to books, to social games, to outside time, to sports, an early education, introduction. It’s a diverse mix of children and teachers which is also important. They have balanced meals and good security compared to other local programs we considered. They also host family activities on a monthly basis (optional but fun). Ultimately, I trust them with my boys, which allows me to focus during work hours.
Excellent place to care for my daughter. Everything looks in excellent condition, very clean, and the staff is highly qualified. The teachers speak several languages, and my daughter is happy and comfortable being able to communicate in her own language. Highly recommended, very professional staff.
Heather the Director is awesome! As a parent my child was picked up by his arm and shoulder to be told “let’s go.” Very unorganized admin team who shop on their computers and complain about helping out when there is over ratio. The education Director doesn’t understand that you cannot coach and correct everyone the same. The workers here are just here for a paycheck. If your kid doesn’t like drop off- this is a sign that they do not feel safe.
This school is currently closed due to negligence regarding electrical fires. This was an issue years ago that RHMP never fixed. It’s a true miracle no one has been severely hurt as a result. Edit: Uninterested in your generic apology, someone needs to get this place shut down. It’s a miracle no workers or children were harmed.
EDIT TO RESPONSE: generic apology, this place doesn’t care and are just saving face to eat your money. EDIT: despite being under new management, this facility still runs the same exact way as previously mentioned. Heather has zero empathy and customer service skills and will happily waste your time and money. These people do not need to be around children. once upon a time, this used to be an AMAZING school, but then management changed and it all went downhill. my son is a former student of the school, so I feel qualified to speak on the experience as we observed while being patrons of this establishment. please do your own research and look up any formal complaints brought against this childcare provider posted in full detail on the state of Georgia’s department of early learning resources website (DECAL). I personally experienced many occasions where my son‘s diaper wasn’t being changed when he was at diaper age, getting to the point where I was physically marking his diapers in a discreet way to track if they were even being changed during the day. When I discovered they were not, I went to complain to the front office staff and was met with two other parents who had noticed the same thing and were angry. Due to multiple occasions of this, my son had diaper rash/yeast infections due to their blatant neglect. This is just one of many countless experiences I have had at Richmond Hill Montessori Preschool. if you reach out to endeavor schools, the parent company to this organization, they will be of no help and never returned your calls either. The only way I had any communication with a higher up for Richmond Hill Montessori Preschool or endeavor schools was by contacting other endeavor school locations in the state of Georgia, and explaining my complete unsatisfaction with the care of my child was receiving, which resulted in what felt like embarrassed employees to pick up after a schools complaints almost five hours away in location. There were days and in some events, weeks I never received updates on how my child was doing and what he was doing. The reason of my delay in posting a review of how horrific the childcare is at this location is due to fear of retaliation against my child. Please do your due diligence and research who your child will be in the care of. There are multiple instances of this facility, not alerting parents when children have been severely injured, to include fractured and/or broken bones and emergency room visits, which are heavily documented on the aforementioned website. A room in the school caught fire and parents weren’t notified until almost 9:30 PM. They were also made aware at that time that school may be closed the next day, which is all around unacceptable in respect to the communication, or lack thereof given. I urge you to use caution if considering this school. This school does not follow true montessori education curriculum - in many instances, I would walk into a classroom to see children huddled around an iPad watching a show. You can be Montessori certified all you want and boast about it, but that doesn’t mean you instill that curriculum into your center - and it shows. The recent staff reviews (attached) back up these claims as well. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! *The only reason this review has one star other than it being mandatory is because the Nutrition Services director, Melissa, is absolutely amazing.
