What Parents Say
RENEWAL UNLIMITED SAUK PRAIRIE appears to be primarily a housing assistance and social services organization rather than a traditional daycare center. Reviews praise the housing department and staff for their support, particularly staff member Roxanne, though some note the application process is slow and requires significant effort from applicants.
Went there they gave me some agent to call and set up a meet, that was back in October 2025 "still waiting as I live in my car. That's all I have to say about government money be misused .
Can’t even give a star was told my family and I were a priority, takes weeks to even get a phone call to have our case “updated” like I said on the voicemail I left what is the point of “the help” if it’s not there . Literally ridiculous. Have been on the list since 2023 and received not a single amount of help.
If I could give the biggest negative review, I would. Imaging sitting on the waitlist for 16 months, constantly checking in on your application, just to be told ‘We will check in next month!’ Then, after you call and tell them you have an active eviction notice, they call TEN days later, and inform you that they have no resources to help you 🙃 We were told we held ‘priority’ because of our children (two who are disabled), but then being knocked down to the bottom of the list because ‘other applicants from other places need to be sorted through’ We went and talked to so many different people who said incredibly different things to us… The BIGGEST waste of my time. I am THOUSANDS in debt because of the waiting (unable to work because my child was in the hospital fighting for his life- came home on hospice). Never again.
I thought my rental voucher was the answer I needed to my homeless situation. Not even close! It's caused me so much more stress! I've had to ask for 2 extensions so far because no one wants to rent to me and I know it's because I'm being judged based on what CCAP says and that's not a background check tool!! Landlords and management companies admit to using it to disqualify me. I have no felonies or violent history. I'm a victim of domestic abuse also which doesn't matter in my relocation attempt. Noone cares to help. I have one eviction which wasn't my fault. My fiance passed away suddenly and I couldn't afford the rent on my own but it was out of my control. Noones cares it couldn't be helped. I've been looking for 4 months now with no luck! I've been ignored by Jane more then a few times when I've been at my Witt's end but she blows off my pleas for help. I'm begging for someone at renewal to friggin help me so I'm now out on the street with a useless rent Voucher! If I could I'd rate Jane a 3. Very little to no effort and couldn't care less that I'm outside. I asked for a motel vouchers and she says they don't have any which I don't believe.. Someone at renewal please help me I'm begging you 🙏😭!!
I was looking for rental assistance to avoid eviction and they said they couldn't help me until I had a 5 day eviction notice. When I did get the notice and contacted them for help, they wanted me to fill out a multi page survey and told me I'd be placed on a waiting list that could potentially take weeks for non guaranteed approval. I passed on it and can't understand why they can pay a years rent for some and make me jump through hoops, with a deadline they couldn't even meet on their end to help me avoid eviction. UPDATE: I received a phone call from Roxanne not long after posting this initial review and not only did they step up to help me, but Roxanne was very understanding and genuinely cared about me when she realized that I'm dealing with a terminal diagnosis due to advanced heart failure. I was on my way to Madison University Hospital during that call and she could tell I was struggling to breathe, insisting that everything would be okay and to just worry about getting better. She then obligated her organization to take over the next 12 months of rent which was a huge sigh of relief as I focused on my health issues in search of a heart transplant which is the only thing that can potentially save my life. Unfortunately I'm losing the transplant battle and it's been 10 months since renewal took over my rent obligation. My future is bleak, my heart's getting weaker by the month, but my respect and gratitude for Renewal Unlimited has grown tremendously and I stand corrected about how this review started prior to my update. Granted, the process is slow and a lot of questions remained in limbo from the very start, but I can't thank them enough for pulling through during this fight for my life.
