What Parents Say
Renaissance Children's Center receives mixed reviews. Multiple parents praise the loving staff, educational quality, and children's happiness, while others report serious concerns about staff behavior including yelling, physical discipline, and poor customer service.
So Im rating this a one star because of what I hear all day long, every day. I live across the street from them. I have a 3 year old son and I refuse to put him in this school. I would not subject him to that sort of environment. Every single day I hear a lady screaming and yelling non stop at the kids. The way she interacts with them is very inappropriate. It’s so bad I hear her in my apartment with the windows closed. I used to work at a day care and I understand a large amount of kids is tons of work but still you need to handle yourself better. There’s a way to talk to the kids and. Way not to. Being negative, screaming and yelling is not the way to do it. I swear by 10 am it sounds like she’s going to give her self an aneurism. Kids won’t listen to you when you do that to them. Kids respond better when you talk to them with respect. There’s a difference between yelling and being stern. If a kid won’t stop eating sand, then remove the child from the situation or put the child in timeout. Don’t just keep screaming at him for 30 minutes. I have 4 children. My toddler continues to act out if I lose my temper. Which I have done I’m not perfect. He listens more when I handle the situation in a different way. It’s very abusive to be doing that all day long to the children. That lady needs to be in a differ Line of work.
My baby has been attending daycare here for about 4 months now and I couldn't be more satisfied. I have 2 teenagers who I stayed home with until they started school, however, my baby now is not my biological child's, I only have temporary custody of her and am now a single mom who has to work. I was so nervous about sending her to daycare, especially with some of t hff w stories I've seen on the news. With no choice, I enrolled her and I am very pleased with the quality care. The caretakers are very attentive to my child and based on my baby's reaction and responses to them, I know she feels safe, trusting and completely happy. I love that they take time each day to discuss my baby's day and the way they truly care about her well being. Renaissance Childcare Center has been a huge blessing to my baby and myself and I highly recommend them.
My kids went here for years. We did love it, till recently. Then one day I picked up my son and he had a hand print across his face. I asked him and he said his teacher smacked him. I had already asked for him to be transferred out of that teacher's class. Unfortunately it wasn't caught on camera. If they were properly placed it would have been. Honestly after years I'm shocked I trusted them. the way it was handled completely shocked me. I really thought it was a good day care. The mark stayed on his face for an hour. I'm completely horrified that they would continue to keep a teacher there that hurt a child . A lot of the teachers there are very good but that one is a danger to children.
I'm rating a 1 star due to I call about my 3 yr old going to school there....well I guess the lady who answered didnt like the fact I said I'll just look for a school with an opening because I need one now hahaha so she hung up on me no okay that's fine have a good day nothing plain rude if you ask me I'll be reporting for sure and for everyone else if you want friendly i wouldnt recommend this daycare
The staff and structure and well being of the children are just PERFECT. Renaissance is so loving and nurturing , amazing place for children to be!
