Our daughter attended Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills from the infant room all the way through kindergarten, and the experience was truly outstanding. Every teacher she had poured into her with care, patience, and dedication, and the academic and social foundation they built is something we will always be grateful for. Our daughter graduated out in August 2025, and we already miss being part of this wonderful community. Because of the strong start she received here, she is confident, well-prepared, and absolutely thriving. Ms. Suman, the Director, leads with such warmth and excellence—her leadership sets the tone for the entire school. I always felt supported and heard as a parent. We can’t recommend Montessori Academy enough to families who want their children to be nurtured and challenged in the best way possible.

We had a wonderful experience with our daughter’s time at MAoFH. She thrived here, showing amazing growth both socially and physically. One of the things we truly appreciated were the extended hours, which gave us peace of mind knowing she was well cared for while we managed our work schedules. Ms. Suman and the entire staff were always so flexible, welcoming, and supportive. They took our concerns seriously and worked closely with us to help our daughter through important milestones. This was especially clear during her potty training journey and again when she transitioned into her new class, where they encouraged her independence with patience and care. We are so grateful for the nurturing environment and dedicated staff that made such a positive impact on our daughter’s early development when she was there. Highly recommend

I live in Novi, and initially, I was a bit skeptical about the travel distance. However, based on my son’s improvement, I can confidently say it’s absolutely worth it. He has shown great progress both academically and personally. One of the things I really appreciate is that they celebrate special occasions like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, making parents feel involved and appreciated. They also have fun events like Bike Fridays, which my child absolutely loves. Overall, we’ve had a great experience here, and I highly recommend this Montessori to other parents.

Our 2 year old is truly excited to go to this school each day. She smiles as she walks in each day and she is always glowing when she walks out. Ms. Qamar, the primary teacher in the 2-year-old classroom is absolutely amazing. In our daughter's 6 months here, she has learned the ABCs (with some individual letter identification), to draw & identify shapes, to count to 30, days of the week, to identify weather, & more songs than I can count. She speaks fondly of all her classmates & teachers, telling us that she loves them (by name). We're grateful for the school's director, Suman, and the attention she gives to providing an enriching environment to all the children in her care. From the time of our first tour, it was clear that Suman's passion for/experience with Montessori was unmatched. The facilities aren't as shiny and new as some other facilities we toured, but the curriculum, care, and enrichment the teachers provide are what matters. EDIT: We've now been with this school for 2 years and have 2 kids enrolled. We've seen wonderful friendships blossom between our kids and other students and even made friends with many of the parents as well. Both kids have learned SO MUCH in their time here (particularly the eldest). My biggest concern now is my eldest continuing to be challenged when she enters public elementary school because she is already reading basic words at 3 years old and fairly proficient with arithmetic. I'm truly impressed with the academic programs here. Our children have loved every teacher and Suman has been incredibly easy to talk to when we have feedback and suggestions. The school has improved a ton over the last 2 years, with building upgrades and playground improvements happening all the time. It feels like every teacher truly loves what they do and I'm grateful we found this school.

When we were looking for a safe, engaging place for our oldest to go a few years ago, reading reviews from other parents currently enrolled helped so much. Hoping this review will help someone in the same position feel confident in their choice to have their child (children) attend Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills. Our oldest has been attending Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills for two and half years and counting. Ms. Suman and the entire staff work tirelessly each and every day to make sure the students and their families have a good experience. They are helpful, supportive, caring and sensitive to the needs of each child. As a parent, I've watched my child grow (emotionally and physically) in his abilities and been able to witness his confidence soar. The transition (as any significant routine change can be) was tough at first (probably more on me than him :) ) as it was the first daycare/school he attended outside our home and Ms. Suman and his teachers worked closely with him (and helped me as a parent, which I'll always be grateful for) to build trust, understanding and make sure he felt secure. Now, he looks forward to drop off each morning and can't wait to see his teachers and play and learn with all of his friends, classmates and peers. The Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills has a wonderful playground for outdoor time (one of the first things you'll notice as you drive up and enter the parking lot), Ms. Suman and her staff keep it well maintained, along with the interior/exterior of the building and are always updating with the latest equipment and enhancements. They offer fieldtrips for students and lots of fun activities for holidays and special occasions, including an end of the school year program for each class. One note that's worth mentioning is that they follow the Montessori method of learning with the freedom to make choices and progress at the child's own comfort level. It's a true school environment starting at 3 years, not a daycare or childcare center (Ms. Suman and the teachers are happy to give updates and send pictures, you'll just need to ask if there's something specific you'd like to see or know more about during the day to day routine). You'll be more than pleasantly surprised with how much your child (children) will learn. If you have a child under three, they will still learn at an exceptional rate (Montessori Academy take babies 3 months and up) as well, just in a separate building with separate infant/baby/young toddler staff. My youngest is set to start in the infant room soon and we feel at ease knowing he will be surrounded by such a wonderful, patient support system and receive nurturing, dependable care. The teachers and staff truly are wonderful, many have been with the school for years and years. Their experience shines through (and helped accelerate our potty training journey, among many, many other milestones) and so many of them feel like an extension of our family. The tuition costs are more than fair for everything they offer, I can't imagine you can find anywhere else with such an expansive offering. Choose Montessori Academy of Farmington Hills and you'll choose really, really well!
