Our family loves Reading Friends! My third will start there this fall, as my oldest transitions out. The small class sizes and overall small size of the school means your little ones are known by name and treated like family. I feel so confident and safe handing my kiddos off to them and they have grown/learned sooo much!!
I can not say enough great things about this school! I've had 3 of my kids attend Reading Friends all with wonderful experiences. Two of my boys started here at age 2 and attended all four years up through the kindergarten program. They are both pretty reserved/timid, and thanks to the teachers here, they have grown so much in confidence, both socially and academically. One of my kids has several food allergies, and the staff/teachers were always very mindful and made sure he was included in any class parties or special snacks. Ms. Marsha & Mackensie are always very communicative by email & phone and know all of the parents & kids names by heart. The teachers have been so kind and helpful and my kids have loved them all- especially Ms. Mallory. She has been great with both my boys and has played an integral part in their early education- it's obvious she has a true passion for teaching! Our family has been extremely grateful we found this school for our kids the last 4-5 years. I could not recommend this school enough!
A review from the Heart and mind. Reading Friends was a wonderful place and it still has wonderful teachers. My daughter learned and loved her teachers. But overtime, we have noticed that the organization’s values have shifted, prioritizing business and monetary goals over education in a wholesome environment. This business first ideology which is stemming from ownership is bound to trickle down and will eventually have a negative impact on teachers, and then the children. Therefore, we are removing our daughter to a different private institute where the ownership will be interpersonal, empathetic, and conducive towards establishing a more positive and safe learning environment.
We have had an absolutely amazing experience at Reading Friends. After attending another preschool in the area my son was not quite yet ready for Kindergarten. The small class size in their Kindergarten class here was perfect. Everyone is extremely helpful, and great with communication. He has learned so much, and gained so much confidence. He’s now excited for school!
Reading Friends is an amazing and caring school. We’ve had the pleasure to have two of our kiddos go through, and our older daughter was clearly better prepared for kindergarten last year when she got to elementary. Our youngest is still at Reading Friends, and she is excelling. I’ve seen the growth in her vocabulary, enjoyment of learning, and socialization. The teachers care, they treat the kids like they are family, and it shows in the results!
