What Parents Say
Lil Ones Day School receives highly polarized reviews. Multiple parents praise the caring teachers, educational programs, and their children's development and attachment to the school. However, several parents report serious concerns about staff conduct, including rough handling of children during unannounced visits, inadequate supervision, and lack of communication regarding injuries.
When I moved to Burley I asked in many mom groups what the best daycare in Burley was for my kiddos and there were lots of recommendations for Lil Ones. Anita was awesome helping us fill out the paperwork and showing us around. I have been taking my two kiddos here for almost 2 years and when our youngest was born we started taking her here as well. The older kids love Beth and all of their teachers they go on adventures with in the summer. Cassidy is amazing and will love on your kiddos like her own. It's been hard leaving the youngest at daycare after not having a baby in the house for so long but Christine and Vanessa are both absolutely amazing with her and I trust her in their care completely. Definitely take your kiddos to Lil Ones
Extremely unprofessional, called to see if they had room for our kids and if we could go and do a walk through of the facility, before we ever even went over to see the place the director Anita had called our current daycare to tell them we were pulling our kids to take them over there which wasnt true. We were simply trying to see what other daycare options were available. Would not recommended, director is a problem causing, gossiper with no facts to back up what she is saying.
Not that this place is expensive, but you'll like what they have to offer so much that it's easy to really wanna leave yer kids there and that can get fairly costly. But it's well worth it! My son is top in his class in math and reading (1st grade), and my daughter is close behind him - she's not even in school yet! Like I said, we'll worth it. It's difficult to price on my kids' education, so every head start chance we get, we take - especially when it counts towards them being watched for me AND it tallies a nice tax deduction ;-)
My child does not go here but my sister in law & I did an unscheduled walk through today. We are new to the area and was checking out our options for prek. As soon as I walked through th doors I was already telling myself “no” to the idea of leaving my 4yo there, but was trying to give the place the benefit of the doubt. As the lady took us to the back area, where the kids played, I was in shock instantly. As we walked into the play area we witnessed a child (boy in a striped shirt I believe) being yanked by the arm by on of the teachers. When I say yank I mean yanked! Nothing soft about it. She yelled at him as doing so. We missed what the young child did to cause the teacher to react as she did. Even so, in MY opinion, no young child deserves to yanked around like a doll. I had to make myself calm down from the anger I instantly felt. I will be home schooling my child WHILE in the area. I’m sure not all the schools are like this in the area, but this one bad experience has ruined my trust. I wish now I made an effort To find a way for the parent to be in the know instead of leaving. This is the only way I know how to let it be known. I really hope this comment is taken very seriously by other reviewers! I pray that not only the parent of the child we saw this morning but that all the parents whose children attend here become aware of what one or maybe more staff members may be treating their children.
As soon as I walked up I was already kind of sketchy about the school. Knobs missing off of the door (maybe they are replacing things?) anyways. We talk with the staff at the front.. everything is ok.. start to do our walk through.. we have a 2 year old, 4 year old, & a 6 year old.. we walk back to the rooms where the kids are during the day & the 2 year class teacher snatches up a kid. A little kid! I don’t even snatch my kids up the way this teacher did.. RED FLAG! Big no! I pray that this Momma finds out about how he/she is being treated.. he was wearing I THINK a red & white striped shirt & blue jean shorts.. he was a little brown headed kid.. once they seen us they changed the way things were happening. Started kissing on the kid, EXCEPT for the one teacher kept getting in the other kids face that was in the corner for whatever he had done... I just can’t let my baby go there knowing this is ok.. the lady doing the walk through with us didn’t even act like this was a new thing... she acted as if this was an everyday occurrence.. this is just MY OPINION & MY INSIGHT on how our unscheduled walk through went... I advise everyone to do an unscheduled walk through, don’t set up an appt to do a walk through because they will be on their best behavior. They don’t have rooms for the different age groups. It’s a huge room with wooden dividers built throughout this room.. nasty looking carpet.. & the lighting is terrible, but that’s not even my issue. The issue is the way that baby was treated. My body was covered in chills when I witnessed this & I want soooooo bad for the mother of this child to know how her baby was treated! My heart is broken for this baby! 😭😭
