Supportive and Inspiring College Experience! 🎓 Moreno Valley College is honestly one of the most welcoming and supportive campuses I’ve ever been to. From day one, you can feel that the staff and professors truly care about helping students succeed. Everyone from admissions to counseling to financial aid is always kind, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re on the right path. The professors are amazing! They’re not just teaching; they’re mentoring and encouraging you to grow both academically and personally. Classes are engaging, and the instructors actually take time to make sure students understand the material. It feels like they want you to win, not just pass. The campus itself is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. You can always find what you need — whether it’s the library, student services, or study spots everything is well organized and convenient. Plus, there’s a real sense of community here. People are friendly, helpful, and always uplifting one another. 🏫✨ I also have to shout out the management and staff for keeping everything running so smoothly. They’re approachable, professional, and always ready to listen to students’ needs or feedback. It makes a big difference knowing you’re in a place where your voice matters. If you’re looking for a college that genuinely cares about your future and creates a positive, encouraging environment, Moreno Valley College is 100% the place to be! 🌟📚
Definitely going to have zero patience if you are starting life over at 30 when it comes to school. All the people at the front counter are stress free and kinda helpful. The people at the cashiers & records don’t yell loud enough to hear your name. Also the president of the school or some tall gentleman and another midsize gentlemen walked in “asking hey how’s everyone doing” I should have asked him “not well” This lobby looks like disorganized and I can’t even hear people shout my name. Hopefully— after this busy day. My first time and a new student at this campus turns around. High hopes
This is the saddest google review I've ever written. I never imagined that I would be physically assaulted by my professor in my microbiology lab, but that's exactly what happened on Nov 6th, in the Fall of 25. Background on me: I am a returning student, a single mom, and I'm physically disabled. I am overall weak w/ little balance or core strength at the moment. I am typically a B student in most science R.N pre reqs, which are all complete now, except this one class. In all my years, I have never had any trouble with any academic person before, until now. On november 6th towards the end of lab, with out any provocation, my microbiology professor suddenly pushed me backwards with both her hands, hard and agressisvely, out of her lab, then she told me outside to drop her class or she woud make it extremy difficult for me to pass. I filed a police report immediately after the incident. It's 3 weeks later now, and nothing happened to her at all. It's as if she did nothing wrong at all. It's going on 3 weeks now. Admin are all ignoring me 100%, the chair, The dean, and the president have a showed zero effort in the slightest, to reach out to me or addess me in any way. All my requests for a meeting have been ignored, and I haven't heard any news or updates from anyone. I am still forced to attend to her class, and be alone with her in her office hrs, if I want to get my grade. Zero options have been provided to me to switch or even at least go to another professors office hours. She has now accused me of academic dishonesty ( keeping up the previous promise of her threat to destroy me academically while in her class) and I assume it's going to stick, even though I did not cheat. So there's another incident to add to the case. I asked for proof of me cheating since I know I did not, she doesn't have any and apparently doesn't need any, it's her word against mine and all admin staff all are protecting, and suporting her, so I'm at a loss here, she gave me a zero on my exam, and no one gives a damn, she is allowed to get away with all of it. If anyone were to look at her rate my professor dot com ratings or reviews, which are scathing, one would wonder why she's even still employed at this college at all. (Maribel Arias is the professor who put both hands on me and pushed me out of her lab, [and this is *totally okay, academic and professional behavior and action performed by her, according to the college's lack of discipline and their lack of any sign of empathy toward me for what has happened. It's sickening how they are treating me, silent treatment, ignored, pushed aside and completely looked over. It's an embarrassment to the district, and to our city, and as a professional education establishment. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, and your lack of conduct, wich is actually called neglect, wich is a form of misconduct!
WORST COLLEGE EVER BUT (Good Supportive people almost) I am writing this review to share a balanced experience at Moreno Valley College. There are areas where the support is outstanding, and areas where it is dangerously unresponsive. ✅ Area of Success: Dedicated Faculty and High-Level Engagement The quality of support from certain faculty members and high-level administration is excellent: Professor Support: My instructor in my Physical Geography course (GEG 1) was incredibly proactive. When I needed help, the professor personally offered to drop a low quiz score and strongly encouraged me to reach out to the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) for accommodations like extended time on exams. This quick, personalized support was vital for my success. Office of Instruction (DOI): When I had a complex issue and needed guidance, the DOI responded quickly to my initial escalation. They provided the necessary formal process and contact information for the Department Chair, showing that the central administration is engaged in guiding students through administrative hurdles. ❌ Critical Failure: Music Department Administrative Breakdown My experience with the administrative chain for my Music course was extremely disappointing and nearly caused me to fail: Non-Responsive Professor: Despite needing an urgent meeting to address a failing grade and an academic integrity concern, I could not obtain the instructor's office hours. Administrative Failure: When I escalated the issue to the VPA Administration, I received no response, forcing me to go to the DOI. Lack of Resolution: The professor and VPA's non-responsiveness created a hostile situation where I, a student on the Autism Spectrum, was forced to navigate three levels of bureaucracy (Professor, VPA, DOI) just to schedule a simple meeting. The failure of the Music department's administration to support students needing urgent guidance is a serious issue that jeopardizes academic standing. Prospective students should be aware that while some departments and faculty are excellent, the administrative support within the Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) department may fail you when you need it most. because moreno valley college wanted you fail to grades not because moreno valley college wants you fail but just because moreno valley college loves to see people suffering and failing just for money
Moreno Valley College is a hidden gem in California’s higher education landscape. The professors genuinely care about student success, and the campus environment fosters real learning—not just test performance. Students here come from diverse backgrounds and bring strong, grounded perspectives into class discussions. There’s a focus on practical intelligence and critical thinking, not just chasing prestige. I’ve seen students from bigger-name schools, like UC Davis, who seem to lack the same level of real-world logic or resilience. MVC students often outperform expectations because they’re motivated, resourceful, and not caught up in academic image games. If you want a college that values substance over status and helps you grow both academically and personally, Moreno Valley College is an excellent choice.
