Ravenswood Manor Child Care Center

My son has attended RC4 for one year now and I've been very satisfied with the quality of care provided. He's been very happy and thriving at RC4. The caretakers are smart, sweet, and very personable. The outdoor space is the nicest we've seen in the neighborhood. One thing that we've appreciated most is our child having a primary at daycare. She reached out to us to schedule a meet and greet before we started daycare. She told us about herself: her education, experience, methods, and philosophy. She asked about our kid and about our needs. We get insights from her about how our child is doing, lots of photos, and fun. What is most important at the end of the day is that our baby is happy there, he's confident, and encouraged to grow and learn. We couldn't ask for more.

Our daughter has attended here since she was a baby and is now in the preschool classroom. We trust them completely. It is obvious how much everyone on staff cares about each individual child. The care they provide is responsible, consistent, and high quality, and as the kids age the classrooms introduce more and more learning and depth. We have always recommended this facility as highly as we possibly could and it's been almost 4 years.

With one and soon to be two kids at RC4, we have only positive things to say about this daycare. The lead teachers/caregivers are uniformly excellent and well prepared - our daughter has loved each of them as she's grown up there. The rooms are well maintained and well stocked with appropriate toys/activities as is the small playground. The building is clean and functional but not super fancy, as you would expect from being an extension of a community church, but all perfectly appropriate for a daycare. Like most child care in Chicago the price is high but very competitive compared to other facilities in the area. We also love how plugged into the community RC4 is, specifically the weekly farmers market in their parking lot in the summer. Our only quibble is with some of the sick policies that can be more restrictive than the recommendations of local health authorities, but this is a relatively infrequent annoyance. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a daycare!

We've had two children go through the different classrooms. We are very happy with the teachers. The programs help with their development and you can tell the genuinely care for the children. We also love the indoor and outdoor playground so they are able to run around each day. We also really like the families in the community.

Their dedication to helping him grow is evident in everything they do. Additionally, the school has established excellent routines that create a structured, nurturing environment.
