What Parents Say
Ransburg YMCA Early Learning Center has exceptionally high ratings with parents praising its clean, safe, and nurturing environment. Staff members are consistently described as caring, welcoming, and knowledgeable, with particular appreciation for long-term consistency and community impact across generations. The facility offers diverse programs for all ages and creates a family-oriented atmosphere that fosters confidence and overall wellness.
My heart broke when I heard the news about Ransburg YMCA. This place is not just a building — it’s a living piece of our community and my family’s life story. As a little girl, over 20 years ago, I played basketball at Ransburg, and Alice Weber was the sports director then — just as she is now. To witness that kind of consistency, dedication, and heart is rare. Fast forward to today, and my son began playing basketball at Ransburg at just 4 years old, under the same woman who helped shape my childhood. That full-circle moment alone is priceless. Alice has always been welcoming, warm, communicative, and genuinely kind. She knows the kids. She knows the families. She cares — not because it’s her job, but because it’s who she is. My oldest daughter has also grown through Ransburg — participating in tumbling and cheerleading, guided by Mrs. Jen and her incredible staff. Their patience, encouragement, and positivity have helped build confidence, discipline, and joy in my child. These are the moments that shape kids for life. What has always stood out about Ransburg is how clean, safe, and loving the environment is. The staff doesn’t just maintain the facility — they nurture the people inside it. You can feel the care the moment you walk in. It’s consistent. It’s intentional. It’s rare. To lose Ransburg would mean losing decades of mentorship, trust, and community investment — something that cannot simply be rebuilt elsewhere. This YMCA has raised children who are now bringing their children through its doors. I am asking anyone with the ability, influence, or resources to truly consider what is at stake. This is a place worth fighting for. Worth funding. Worth saving. Generations depend on it — and generations are grateful for it.
I love the Ransburg Y! Been coming here for just over a year now and have had a great experience everytime. The staff is friendly, the facility is nice, and the location is a huge benefit for the east side community.
Im writing this review because i am so disappointed my childern go to multiple ymcas and this was one of their favorites but as of yesterday this is the second something of my childs have been stolen from this ymca. His phone and his beats!!!!! I went in today after his father was there last night when it happened and it seemed like nobody wanted to help or figure it out. We will not be back to this one and nobody else should go there unless you want someone stealing your stuff. I did reach out to brian waiting to hear back smh but with the way the employees was talking while i was walking away i doubt i get a email back from him either. Please do better
I believe God created his children not only to love, give service and seek those in need. Also take care of our well being through exercise. The YMCA is a perfect place, surrounded by people that care about you and willing to assist you.
It’s been wonderful to have a place to exercise and join classes with my friends. It’s made an overall difference in my health. I feel great and healthy when I can exercise regularly.
