Best church I've ever been to. The congregation is warm and very friendly. My husband had a medical incident during services in November 2024. The outreach and support we received and continue to receive has definitely been above and beyond. We have without question found our forever church. RBCPC is the BEST.
This is a massive church. So, if you appreciate anonymity, this is a good place for you. However, the people will not go out of their way to welcome you. The music is pretty good, but it lands toward contemporary church music. I'm classically trained, so the lack of sheet music and hymnal use is a little annoying (I understand that it is highly subjective). Pastor Kohler gives thoughtful and meaningful sermons. The associate pastor is warm and jovial.
My family and I have been going for a few years. We really like this church (settled here after "shopping around" a bit)! The pastor's sermons are centered in the Bible, the music is amazing at both the traditional and contemporary services, and the people are very kind and welcoming.
A very beautiful church, with great acoustics to hear the San Diego philharmonic perform. Everyone that I encountered here was very friendly and helpful. Its also a nice newer campus with a large well lit covered parking area, with easy access from the street.
RBCPC was our home church for many years and we still have a lot of friends there. Unfortunately we were there to attend a funeral. It''s a great campus and there are terrific ministries going on there. Very youth focused. If you live in this are this is the place to go to church.
