What Parents Say
Rainbowland Learning Center II receives mostly positive reviews praising professional teachers, clean facilities, and strong academic preparation for kindergarten. However, several parents report serious concerns about specific staff members, particularly a teacher named Ms. Fernanda and director Ms. Ingrid, citing unprofessional behavior and inadequate administrative response to complaints.
Rainbow Land is the best school ever my son was there for pre3 and pre4 and I don’t regret a bit, everyone are very professional, kind and well prepared to work with kids. The school is very clean and safe . Amazing family environment that cultivates independence, respect and accountability. My son was very happy and he learned so much that when he went to Kindergarten he knew how to read and write. Special thanks to Mrs. Barbara, Mrs. Lisa, Ms. Briana and Mrs. Mara the Pre 3 teachers who teach my son the first step into school and a big thanks to Ms. G and Ms. Ana who gave my son the final touch and prepared him to kindergarten and they did it so well that word can not express how grateful I am to them . I highly recommend Rainbow Land Learning Center.
What a great school: wonderful place, with a very positive environment. I worked with both sites for 10 years as a service provider (speech Therapist). I respect the professionalism, and the way they face the challenges as educators. I really had an amazing experience with Ms Fernanda in particular. She was passionate about motivating her little students to try things on their own, to gain autonomy, delivering positive reinforcement in a sincere manner, and making herself available for her students. I saw her and many teachers (Ms Graziela, Ms Sonia, Ms Denise) and administrators (Cristina, Fatima, Nathalia, Celia, Helena, Ingrid and others that I don't know if they still working there) dealing with challenging students and situations, even with us, as service providers. For sure I would recommend Rainbow Land as a place for the little ones to attend as a learning center. Gersonita Malafaia
The school itself is great, most of teachers are very professional and responsive. However, my son and I personally had some horrible experience with Mrs.Fernanda who turned out to be a very rude, abusive and unprofessional teacher and person to communicate with. She has been separated my son from the entire group during the nap time pulling him along to a separate room. He was crying and scratching himself there, asking her to bring him back, after that experience he was scared even going to the daycare. After a very serious concerned communication with the administration of Rainbow in particular with Ms. Ingrid and a social worker, my son was immediately transferred to a different group. I did not escalate this abusive issue any further back then however I think it was not right as any other child could experience something similar eventually. Everybody as a parent should be aware of this rude teacher and make sure she would not label your child as “unfavourable“ neglecting him and treating a parent so unprofessionally by dismissing your child’s needs. I have written communication via email as evidence with all pictures of scratches and my desire to create a healthy parent-teacher relationship before this incident. Notably, I have a Master in teaching therefore have a great understanding how 4 years kids should be treated. My son still horrified of her name. A very-very disappointing experience. I should state that the principal of the school Ms. Ingrid was also not acting professionally trying to cover up this particular teacher till the moment she realised that I am going to escalate the issue further. Then suddenly the “available spot” in a different group “become available” immediately. This is an “old school” principal with a very limited understanding of modern educational concepts and respect to ppl who don’t speak Spanish and with a lack of communication with highly professional ppl. But all other teachers and workers were very professional and polite. Needless to say, I’ve seen other dissatisfactions regarding this teacher and a principal therefore it should be taken seriously into consideration before you send your child to this school.
The Director , Ms. Ingrid; very unprofessional and aggressive. She does not know how to effectively communicate , nor is she good at time management. We had a 6:30 pm meeting she never showed up nor was she remorseful in wasting my time. Only engages and enjoys Latino families. Would not recommend. She needs revaluations of her own!
Awesome place for the children to learn. Excellent teachers. Every single person who works there cares for the families well being. They have a regular schedule based on Newark, NJ school system (days off, holidays and 8:25am to 3:00pm) but they also offer a before and after care. You can pay directly to them or you can apply for a program which if you qualify they might cover everything or you might have to pay a portion (which still a big help)
