We've loved our experience at Rainbow. Our child has been there 3 days a week from infancy to Pre-K. His teachers have always been so loving and thoughtful. Each time we had to move to the next level we became so attached to the teachers and it was hard to leave, until we met the new teachers, and we ended up loving them all. They know our family well and treat his little bro as one of their own too even though he does not currently attend. Rainbow feels like home and a safe, warm place to send your children. We love the director Ms. Caroline who is so warm and excellent at what she does. The kids love to stop by in her office for chocolates and us parents for conversation. It will be bittersweet to move on from here as our child is about to graduate. We have made so many wonderful memories here!❤️ We also have appreciated the flexibility of a 3-day arrangement, a big factor for us!
My children and I had a truly wonderful experience at Rainbow. The teachers have always been supportive, caring, and deeply invested in the children’s learning. My kids loved it there, and the foundation they built in preschool really showed they went into kindergarten confident, prepared, and ahead academically. I also really appreciated the diverse environment. My children learned to understand and interact with kids and families from many different backgrounds, which helped them grow socially and emotionally. They learned alot much more than just academics. they learned kindness, empathy, and how to be part of a community. The director has also been very supportive and has done a lot to make sure families and staff feel heard and cared for. We are so grateful for the positive experience and all the growth I saw during our time there.
Our child attended Rainbow School for about two years. While several teachers there were truly fantastic, our overall experience included enough serious concerns that we ultimately decided to move our child to a different daycare center. We had a great experience in the first infant room and in Toddler 1. However, we were extremely concerned with the lack of care our child received from one of the main teachers (Leona) in the Mobile Infants room. During all the months our child was in that class, we never once saw her interacting with the babies at drop-off -- She was always standing apart from them looking at her phone, and would barely even interact with us. Even more concerning was that she would argue with us about our child's severe eczema, telling us that irritated skin on his legs was "just sock lines" and refusing to apply his medicated creams. When we raised this with the director, Caroline, we were repeatedly told she would speak to the teacher, but things only improved once a visiting nurse documented how bad it was and told them it was not negotiable. There were also numerous incidents where our child was either sick or injured and it was not communicated in a timely manner. On one occasion, he had a high fever, and Leona ignored him while he lay in the corner of the room. We were only contacted when another teacher came in to cover a lunch break and immediately recognized that something was wrong We were also only given incident reports for bites, but never for scrapes and bruises that were clearly visible. When we asked about their incident reporting policy, we were told they were only legally required to write reports for head injuries or injuries requiring medical intervention, but that they could “call us immediately about any injury, no matter how insignificant, if that’s what we wanted." Unfortunately, this sort of behavior and deflection was common from the administration. While the director told us frequently that parents could come to her with questions or concerns, whenever we did bring something forward, it was met with a defensive response (usually deflecting the issue, minimizing concerns, or pointing to minimum licensing requirements instead of acknowledging that care could (and should) exceed the bare legal minimum). Combined with the center’s history of licensing violations, these patterns felt systemic rather than isolated. As first-time parents, we didn't realize how big a difference it makes to have a director who is proactive, communicative, and willing to actually partner with families to solve concerns. It really has been night and day since moving our child out of Rainbow and into a different center. That said, Rainbow does have some wonderful teachers. Miranda, Pajder, Savannah, Amalia, and Nicole consistently made us feel that our child was loved and cared for, and we are genuinely grateful for them and miss them. Unfortunately, the ongoing issues, safety concerns, and the administrative defensiveness left us without confidence in our child’s health and safety at Rainbow.
🌟 A Wonderful Experience at Rainbow Childcare 🌟 I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rainbow Childcare. My son, who is 3, has been attending for over a year, and the growth I’ve seen in him has been incredible. He has learned so much socially, emotionally, and academically, and he comes home excited to share new things every single day. The staff are truly amazing. They are warm, patient, and genuinely care about every child. I especially appreciate how diverse the team is and how beautifully they create an inclusive, welcoming environment. It’s clear that the children are loved, supported, and valued for exactly who they are. As someone who has worked in childcare and licensing for over 20 years, I hold very high standards when it comes to safety, care, and quality of education. Rainbow not only meets those standards, they exceed them. From day one, the teachers have been engaging, hands-on, and attentive. I regularly see them down on the floor playing, interacting, and comforting the kids, never disengaged. My son absolutely adores his teachers and runs into the classroom thrilled to start his day. Communication has always been excellent for us. Any time my son has had a small bump, rash, or even seemed a little off, we were notified right away. The director and assistant director have consistently been approachable, proactive, and willing to partner with families. Every question I’ve had has been met with kindness, clarity, and follow-through. Most importantly, my son is thriving, gaining confidence, making friends, and learning so much every day. The classrooms are full of love, laughter, and learning, and it’s obvious that the staff truly care for the children as if they were their own. Every family’s experience is different, but ours and many, many others has been incredibly positive. Rainbow has been a wonderful place for our child, and we are grateful every day for the teachers and staff who work so hard to create a safe, diverse, nurturing, and high-quality program.
My kids have been going to Rainbow for 5+ years and we absolutely love it. The current director is amazing and the staff genuinely care about and bond with the students. My daughter was extremely well prepared for kindergarten thanks to her amazing pre-k teachers. I cried more on her last day than I did when I dropped her off on her first day at 3 months old! It feels like a family there. ♥️
