What Parents Say
Rahway Day Care Center receives consistently high ratings from parents who praise the friendly, experienced staff and educational approach. Parents appreciate the cleanliness, safety protocols, and daily communication about their children. One concern raised was limited parent-teacher communication during the pre-K program, though the facility is noted as a good value for families in the district.
Our twin boys currently attend the daycare and we know they are in great hands. They keep the facility clean and follow proper COVID-19 protocols to ensure they keep the kids and our community safe. The staff is lovely and very friendly. Most of them have been there for more than 10 years. That’s should be an indication of how caring they all are and how much the enjoy what they do. The kids don’t just seat there. They educate them as well. I love how they take pride in the care they provide to each one of my boys and we’re kept abreast on the daily basis of what they’ve done, eaten etc… We feel like they are with family. Highly recommended daycare for your little ones.
Currently looking for a daycare for my new child and in looking I remember my 2 older kids hated this place. Mrs stacey was great but Mrs.Gina was said to hit kids in her class and was very aggressive and neglectful towards my daughter. Never made sure her coat was zipped/buttoned in outside time during snow or rain. I had my daughter switched out of that room. Also it was odd that they have a cut off for srop off that if you are not there by 9 am on the dot they will send you and your kid away. And no daycare given. No matter what. NOT A RELIABLE DAYCARE! And questionable care.
My daughter attended PRE-K 3 here last year through the district program. While her teachers seemed nice, there was little to no communication throughout the year between teachers and parents aside from one 1-on-1 virtual meeting in the beginning of the year. I have a bleak understanding of what my daughter progressed on throughout the year and I spoke with other parents who shared the same sentiment. Every once in a while we'd get artwork sent home but that was the extent of it. I never saw the inside of the building due to covid restrictions. I believe it was a difficult year for them navigating through covid but if this is how they communicate regardless I would suggest more communication/updates to parents from teachers. Now that my daughter is in PRE-K 4 (district program) I've noticed how much better her teacher communicates and I've seen a serious improvement in my daughters progression as a result of us all working as a team.
I love it. They teach, even though is a day care. The building needs work but the fact that is "free" (my taxes)... other cities do not offer this program, and people pay more taxes... All personnel is great. They really work!
My son has been attending this school for months and we haven't had any issues. The staff is friendly and helpful as someone else stated.
