What Parents Say
Raggedy Anne Learning Center has received polarized reviews. Multiple parents praise the caring staff, individualized attention, educational approach, and child development outcomes. However, several recent reviews allege discriminatory behavior toward children of color and their families, with concerns about cultural insensitivity.
I think it’s disgusting and pathetic the way they discriminate on people in that school and it’s a DAYCARE!!! These are just babies and this is what will be instilled in them at these ages? They should be ashamed of themselves. This place should be closed down immediately. A child care provider should be someone who is passionate about the kids and should have it in their best interest to want to be a leader and someone to guide these kids. I don’t know why u sign up for that job if your tolerance for kids is limited to a certain skin color or excluding someone. Like, did u not know that there would be children of all different backgrounds in your institution? Or in any other school for that matter? It’s sickening. They should be banned from teaching children as well. If I were u I’d be terrified to send my kids to such an institution knowing they are like that. Their attitude very well suits the name of the institution.
Wow, I really can't say enough great things about Raggedy Anne Learning Center, Carol and her staff are amazing. My son started with them a few years ago when he was two and a half. While he was there I always knew he was in excellent hands, I never worried. Carol and her staff were always so caring and very attuned to each child's individual needs and habits. Their kind and professional help with my son’s social and academic growth is much appreciated. I hope to recommend Raggedy Anne Learning Center to any parent looking for an excellent preschool, and I plan on having my daughter attend there as well when she is old enough.
Dear Carol, I just seen the news about this daycare and what you said about the little girls hair. What kind of teacher says that to a parent? Daycare/Schools are suppose to be to be welcoming, inviting, diverse and so much more. I don't understand how can you become a teacher, if you can't accept all children and their culture. FYI It's not about the YOU its about the FAMILIES AND CHILDREN AT THE CENTRE. This is so upsetting that this centre did that to the child and family. If I was the director at this centre you would not have a job if you did that. Sincerely, All Early Childhood Educators/Teachers/Eductors that Love Each and Every Child
Racism is alive and kicking at this school. DO NOT SEND our African American princes and princesses to this school. They have no tolerance or respect for our culture! Their fake. Carol is a fraud who lied to the face of a parent regarding racist behavior as if she was truly concerned and then DEMANDED that said parent was responsible for the backlash that her "learning center" is receiving due to a letter that was sent home.... this school isn't for us!!!!!
It's a shame that parents take their children to this daycare to learn, not to be discriminated against. Shame on you! Children should feel accepted and loved, not ridiculed and demeaned. If you are a teacher and cannot love and cherish children, then you're in the wrong profession. Any management who supports an ass of a teacher who discriminated against an innocent child license needs to be revoked!
