We joined the Quaker Lane family this school year for their 3 day program. I can't say enough good things about this program and the wonderful families we have met. We are honestly sad that our son only has one year here before Kindergarten. They are caring and communicative, I really feel like my son is learning and having fun. There are lots of little events and fundraisers you can get involved in but no pressure to do so if you don't have the time. If you are looking for a pre school or new to the area and realizing how many there are - Quaker Lane really stands out!
Quaker Lane Co-operative Nursery School is a fantastic preschool run by some very special teachers. It is a caring, nurturing school for curious little minds. My son had a wonderful experience there! It is a small friendly co-operative school where families become friends. The curriculum is full of fun and learning, everything from singing, music, dance, science, baking, gardening, space, nature and Outdoor playtime, and lots of arts and crafts. It is a very well rounded curriculum. My son LOVED his time at Quaker Lane and I can highly recommend this preschool.
“I can’t say enough good things about this preschool—it’s truly a ‘little school with a big heart.’ They’ve been around since 1950, and you can feel that history when you enter the unpretentious yet vibrant and engaging space. The teachers are amazing; all 4 of them have been there for many years, which is so rare these days. Their experience really shows in the way they perfectly balance fun and learning each day, incorporating cute themes that my kids have loved like seasons/nature, holidays, and outer space. Parents ban together to tidy the outside spaces a few times per year, and some even volunteer on the executive board to manage the scholarship fund, plan special activities, and more… lending to a wonderful feeling of community. Just a heads-up, they don’t offer full-day programs, so it might not fit everyone’s schedule. But if you’re looking for a kid-centered preschool environment with a consistent, caring, and experienced staff, I highly recommend Quaker Lane!!!
