What Parents Say
Quaker Meadows Generations receives consistently high praise from parents and community members. Reviews highlight exceptional staff care, strong preparation for kindergarten, and positive family-oriented programming. The organization is noted for its community support and assistance to families in need.
Blue Ridge Community Action, with Ms. Tara Vannoy as the point of contact, offers an exceptional weatherization program tailored for seniors. The program boasts outstanding contractors and provides an invaluable service to the community, with a straightforward application process. The impact of their weatherization efforts is truly remarkable, significantly reducing monthly bills for seniors. This organization has been a tremendous support to my elderly family members and has made a positive difference in the lives of many seniors in the Piedmont region. Thank you.
Kathy and her team love their senior's. So glad this program is available to the senior's in Burke county.
My 4 year old has been going here to preschool. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I believe my child is well taken care of and he is learning so much! The only thing I do have to say is that prek let's out at 2 and you have to have your kid picked up before 230, unless going to daycare. Daycare is outrageous and unfortunately the vouchers to get help are backed up and it was just unrealistic for me to be able to get him in daycare. The daycare also closes at 5 so kids have to be picked up before 5!!!! So working til 5 is not an option. They also do not prorate the daycare it's a set amount for the entire month. If you go 2 hours one month it's still the same as if the kid goes daily til 5. They do get fed breakfast lunch and snacks. Overall a good place, from a momma not wanting to have to take her kid anywhere this has been a good transition.
This place helped me on my utility disconnection , when no one else would or could. These people are heroes and I’m very thankful for their assistance. Jamila was who helped me with my application Process and she was very sweet and helpful. Thank you so much again
Had a terrible experience with getting my income taxes done there. Had no idea where it was on the last day to file, finally searched around and found that it did need to be amended And the gal that was there doing it to begin with and was going to amend it was no longer employed there. No one called me to tell me anything and had I not called in none of it would’ve been taken care of on Monday. The head of that location was very sassy with me when I tried to discuss stuff I called back to try to make an appointment to come in and she would not answer and none of the other phone numbers of that place would answer. Thank goodness for the good old UNC state employees credit union where they are always there to help
