If you are looking for a great affordable place to bring your children up until they reach kindergarten then this is the place to go. The teachers and staff are wonderful and educated. The support system is amazing if you choose to use it. It is about the family not just the child. I absolutely love this place and I think it is a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn, grow, socialize, and have fun.
My son has been attending Quincy’s Headstart program for about two years and has been in two different class-rooms; Both classes we’re awesome. Their communication with parents is outstanding as well as their individualized attention to your child and their needs, if any. My son has some specific needs, due to his disability, and they’ve been extremely helpful and understanding. Please fill out an application or call them- you will not be disappointed!
My granddaughters "teacher" did not realize that I had just walked in to pick her up as her back was turned to the door. My granddaughter went to go to the cost section to get her coat as one other child was putting theirs on. The "teacher" grabbed her by the arm roughly and then used her other hand to grab a chair to then drag her and slam her down into the chair to yell at her. All done not realizing that I was standing there in shock. I got my granddaughter not saying a word as if I did I would have been banned and was in front of all the other children who were shocked and wide-eyed as well watching this. She should be responsible for watching small children as obviously she is burnt out and not qualified. I spent 10 years working in public schools and was horrified by her actions!! No one is allowed to mistreat children that way!!
Great program. Only thing is, They can't provide transportation, due to limited funds and qualified bus drivers. This is the only issue I have. Hopefully I can find a resource that can help me transport my twins everyday to Quincy from Braintree.
I love the staff. They are awesome with my great niece. She just adores her teachers and classmates. I highly reccomend this Quincy Head Start program.
