Pumpkin Preschool Of Westport

We love Pumpkin Preschool in Westport!! Our son Sully loves his teachers and friends. He comes homes with crafts everyday and we get photos throughout the day of Sully doing all sorts of activities and getting his outside time in on nice days. We are so thankful for this school and can’t wait to have sully go here until kindergarten ❤️

Pumpkin Preschool of Westport falls short in responsiveness; my attempts to reach them via email and phone have been met with silence. The disorganization and poor management further detract from the overall experience. Do not waste your time with this place.

In their line off work patience is necessary!!! 4yrs old very sad 🚨 READERS DISCRETION ADVISED 🚨 PLEASE SHARE AND BRING AWARENESS TO THIS DAYCARE CENTER PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH & ALWAYS STAY INVOLVED WITH YOUR CHILD’S CARE. My 4 year old son was a student at Pumpkin Preschool, Inc in Fairfield from 6 months to recently. We’ve had great experiences with majority of the teachers, but the Director DonnaJean Pond has shown her true colors on how her and some of her staff view my son. This conversation was beyond disgusting & unbelievable that these “child care professionals” would talk/ think about a 4 year old this way! My son is a HEALTHY & VERY ACTIVE 4 year old who has UNFORTUNATELY witnessed his father commit suicide in front of him at the age of 2! So he has been through A LOT and is still trying to figure out what’s going on. He is getting all the help he needs and deserves to deal with all of his big emotions 🤍 On last Monday I received a call from his teacher that he pushed another teachers nephew on the playground. She asked if we can have a meeting to discuss his behavior and what we can do to help him use his words rather than his hands. I said great let’s do it! I’ll add his therapist in the call! We get on a call on Tuesday and the conversation wasn’t as planned AT ALL! Her and her staff would not let the therapist or myself get out any words during the call but decided to hang up in our face. How “professional” right? Not only did she question how I mother, she even told his therapist she wasn’t doing her job! Without any warnings or signed documents, DONNAJEAN POND (the director) has kicked my son out of her child care center leaving me with NO child care and her reasons are listed below. * “his facial expressions make her staff and other children uncomfortable” * “he needs to seek medical attention” * “4 staff have threatened to quit because they’re scared of him” * “He’s a problem child” * “We don’t want him here” * “We cannot help him” I say all that to say this, PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN FROM PEOPLE LIKE THIS! JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE GIVE UP ON YOUR CHILD, YOU ADVOCATE FOR THEM & DO THE BEST YOU CAN! & God don’t play about me. This happened last Tuesday & my son has started his new school today!!!

Being a person whom has very few regrets in life, sending my daughter to this daycare is one of them. Both Fairfield and Westport locations are money hungry corporate thinking businesses. Money is more important to these people than your children's care. Don't bother with these people. There are WAY NICER and more ATTENTIVE daycares and childcare centers in the area that will actually care about your child.
