Shot me up with something so heavy against my will that I was fully unconscious to a point the transported me in sleep. They said it was to help me stop hearing voices and sleep. I was calm on my own accord and going to sleep when the staff surrounded me to force me to take a shot or they would hold me down. The blond nurse acted like a psychopath saying they couldnt help but look at me. She sat on the bed and patted it trying to get me to sit by her in a disgusting seductive predatorial way. The Ed was disgusting and dirty. She said it was salt it wasn't dirty. She said I was hearing voices and I wasn't it was staff speaking clear as day and they wouldn't stop messing with me. I kept saying shut up leave me alone but they wouldn't. I understand it's rude to say shut up but they acted like the voices I heard were fake and they were truly the staff speaking. They are a horrible institute.
Took my spouse into the ED and had several concerns. Discharged with BP ranges that were not within normal. Then find out the er doctor who was only in the room for a very short time with no physical exam performed falsified documents. Will be contacting state officials.
Went there to get help. Was there 4 hour and still did not see a doctor. They couldn't find heat pad. Possible spine injury from fall. When she fell it never hurt her. But a week later major issues. This Carle team could care less. They would even take her to the rest room. This place is bad
My mom broke her hip and had surgery here. Her aftercare was questionable at every turn. There was never a “go-to” person that knew about her care. The nurses, cna’s and PTs were, for the most part, completely unable to care for a patient with dementia, who is also in pain! The social worker was not initially clear on when/where my mom would be discharged. Communication seemed to be lacking with the social work dept. My mom ended up being at Carle/Proctor for 12 days. Each day was a new problem and disappointment with staff. I believe staff needs to be trained on dementia care as well as improving their communication skills with family members.
Horrible ER experience with my daughter. She was severely dehydrated from non stop vomiting. They refused her fluids. Instead gave her multiple drugs including Ativan and volume. For vomiting and dehydration?! She was there for several hours and finally sent home still dehydrated without fluids. Also gave her a water bottle with electrolytes, of which she could not keep down. Not to mention the extremely rude staff. I have never seen a less caring annoyed nurse in my life. Nurses station sounded like a night club. Staff sitting around blaring their personal likes of music and laughing and yelling and having a great time. Cleanliness was the last issue. This place was disgusting. Do NOT take your loved one here if you want true actual care.
