We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Primrose School of Thornton! As a former special education teacher, I’m very familiar with early childhood education and know firsthand what a high-quality, developmentally appropriate environment should look like and Primrose truly delivers. From day one, the care and dedication from the entire team have been exceptional. My daughter wakes up excited to go to school each day, and we feel confident knowing she’s in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that truly supports her growth and development. The curriculum strikes a wonderful balance between learning and play, creating a positive experience every day. A huge shoutout to Ms. Nikki, the Director, for her leadership and open communication. She truly goes above and beyond for families and makes everyone feel welcome! Our family is so grateful for the entire Primrose team and highly recommend this school to any family looking for a supportive, high-quality early childhood program!
My daughter started primrose back in august and everything from the tour to the intro to now has been amazing. When we were picking a school, primrose was in our top four schools.Along with three other highly ranked schools, they were the first ones we toured, and we ended up cutting short two other schools because none of the other environments came close to what primrose had. They were so great with my daughter's adjustment from being away from me and even on the occasional rough drop off now. She has flourished so much socially and academically It's amazing. The teachers are incredibly patient and kind and ms Dolores cooks some amazing meals even my picky eater will eat with no issues. My only regret is.I didn't find primrose sooner for my older kids 10 years ago.
I have had an outstanding experience at Primrose, and I cannot say enough good things about this school. The director is fantastic. She is present, approachable, and truly sets the tone for the entire building. Leadership here is consistent, professional, and supportive, and it shows in every interaction with staff, families, and children. One of the biggest differences I noticed immediately was how much my child is actually learning. At our previous school, I was told he was progressing well, but it wasn’t until coming to Primrose that I realized how much more structured, intentional learning can happen in a supportive environment. The curriculum is clear, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, and my child is thriving. The overall atmosphere is calm, positive, and easy. Drop-offs and pick-ups are smooth, communication is clear, and there is no underlying tension. Parents are encouraged to communicate with one another, which creates a genuine sense of community. Most importantly, my child feels safe, confident, and excited to be there. The teachers are caring, attentive, and truly know the kids as individuals. Safety procedures are taken seriously, and the staff is clearly trained and prepared. Choosing Primrose was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my child. I am incredibly grateful for the leadership, learning environment, and sense of trust this school provides, and I would recommend it without hesitation to any family looking for quality childcare and early education.
We have been enrolled in 3 other local daycares within a mile of Primrose and I can say, without any hesitation, that this is best one by far that we've experienced. What makes the difference is the management and administration, from which all things flow down. Their warmth, proactive communication, child centered AND parent forward approach, has created a wonderful learning and growing environment for our child, who has thrived in ways I wasn't expecting since coming to Primrose. The teacher rotations and floaters are steady and consistent, which has created a stable place for our kid to develop relationships with various different teacher and staff that he feels comfortable with. The gender mixes in the class have been healthy and there is nuanced consideration given to boys and girls different development phases within the classroom which as been a stark difference in comparison to other schools. For the first time, I feel like my kid is celebrated, not merely tolerated. We came from a really rough situation with our previous provider and Nikki and Molly really came along side us to alleviate our concerns and build trust in their approach that continued to build our confidence in our decision to be at Primrose. Our kid has felt the difference and I am amazed by all the growth I've seen. I offer this advice to any parent looking for a new daycare in the area from someone who has been around the block and dealt with a lot of daycares in the area and elsewhere in Denver due to moves and being a foster parent - please do not be taken in by amenities, shiny facilities, promises of programs or who can't tell you their prices upfront. What our kids need to thrive in school environments is really quite simple and it all starts with the leadership of the school who sets the tone that will shape your kids experience and overall wellbeing.
The director, Nikki, is truly exceptional. Her children have gone through the program themselves, which means she not only trusts it but is personally invested in its quality. This connection drives her to continuously improve the experience for everyone. She has been incredibly kind and supportive as we navigated a quick daycare transition, and her communication is the best we've ever experienced. Additionally, Mrs. Dawn, our son’s teacher, has been outstanding. She’s attentive, adaptable, and communicates clearly. The children adore her, and it’s evident she genuinely cares for them. She keeps us well-informed, and all the assistants have been wonderful too—special thanks to Mrs. Megan as a teacher assistant and Molly at the front desk. We’re deeply grateful for everything so far!
