This school helped my daughter so much! It helped her become more confident and less shy. The teachers are amazing and patient. Mrs. Rup & Mrs. McMillan are amazing with the kids. We loved the activities that were planned. The admin staff are kind & always willing to answer any questions. The owners are very involved and the school is always clean! I always recommend this school to my friends who are looking for care for their children.
Primrose Oviedo is an exceptional school for children to grow and develop. This school has the foundational curriculum, structure, and caring teachers and staff to help kids thrive! My girls are so happy every day to attend and come home sharing/showing all of the amazing things they learn. Not only that, but the teachers and staff are very open and maintain great communication with families. We love this school!
We moved to Oviedo from NYC in April 2020 (yes, during this pandemic time), and my son was 19 months old at that time. I was a high school science teacher previously and do take Early Childhood Education very very seriously. It did take me lots efforts to compare and select childcare centers in the neighborhood, including both Oviedo and nearby Orlando area, since we live on the border line. My first positive impression on Primrose Oviedo came from the phone conversation with one of the managers of the school. She returned my phone call super quickly and in those five minutes she efficiently demonstrated her knowledge and experience in running a childcare institution. In short, she earned my confidence. Of course, I did visit the school site before making my decision. Not surprised, it has been maintained so well, clean, neat, and classy. More important, you can sense the school culture once you are in the building. While I was not allowed to enter any classrooms on that site visit, all the eye contacts and verbal communications with the school staff made me realize it must be the right place for my child. Up to today, my son has been learning at Primrose for four months. I just feel we are so lucky to have such an amazing school in our neighborhood and were so lucky to choose Primrose Oviedo and made such a correct decision! Why? He is happy, every day. He is learning, true academic and social learning, every day. He is behaving better, every day. He starts to share and care, every day. When he initially entered this Primrose school, he only mastered about 50 words. Now, guess what , he can name most common animals, colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet, common items, famous cartoon characters, and so on! Two days ago, he even spoke his first full sentence ever in his life: "I eat ice cream." Two weeks ago, he surprised me by counting not only up to ten, but continuing with "eleven". "twelve", and "fifteen". I just cannot thank the teachers at Primrose enough. While they all look young, their passion in the job and sincere care of each and every child in classes does touch me every day. To give each parent a peaceful mind, teachers record your child's major activities electronically during the school day and we as parents can view it on the APP. Of course, you do get one or two pictures of your child every day. One last thing, this school is open 7 AM to 6 PM on almost all the weekdays with very very few exceptions, which is critical for parents who need to work on tight schedules.
If I could rate a 0, I would! Terrible terrible school. My 3 year old started in February (and lasted only about 3 weeks) and every morning she would hysterically cry to even be in the parking lot of this place, at the time I thought she was going through the normal motions of starting a new unfamiliar place, but I quickly realized it was because she was being mistreated. Taken away from activities, put in time out, having her shoes taken away from her. (We walked into her crying hysterically by herself in the corner with no shoes and no socks on) The "teacher" that was in the 3 year old room told us she requires too much attention and would be better off with a one on one. The "teachers" would be different every day my daughter would go in (which can also throw a child's mood off) My daughter has since started at Kinder Care Oviedo and what a difference!!! She loves going there, loves her teachers and the other students, she is so excited to go in the mornings and talks about going to school all week long. Stay far away from Prime rose if you want your child to be treated right. If you're looking for childcare that has teachers that truly care about your child and have so many different engaging activities go to Kinder Care in Oviedo!!!!!
This school’s environment make you feel that you child is in a warm and cozy house, the owners are pretty involved in all the details. My son attended to this school and now my daughter is attending here as well. 100% recommended
