Preschool Of The Arts- Ellington

We loved Preschool of the Arts for the 5 years we were there. We loved both directors that were there in the time we were enrolled. Unfortunately a new director was hired and the daycare went downhill very fast. We have never encountered someone so unprofessional in a daycare setting, obviously the new director has had no prior experience and was going in blindly. So many obvious daycare violations, and none were fixed even after expressing our concerns. In our time at Preschool of the Arts, the two directors whom we loved were always there, always around for us no matter the time and now we have noticed this new director is never present. The staff that was there when our children were there were absolutely amazing. Our children loved Mrs. Paradise, Miss Vee, Miss Rachel and Miss Sophie. Now unfortunately a majority of the newer staff being hired have no prior childcare experience because the new director is desperate for new hires. We are so sad this place is turning out this way.

My daughter has been attending PSA Ellington for the last 2 years. She has learned an incredible amount from a very dedicated staff of professionals about being a good friend and community member, as well as foundational skills that have prepared her for public school. She loves going to school and we couldn't be happier with how everyone has helped her grow. We plan to send our 2 younger daughters to PSA when they are age appropriate. :)

Preschool of the Arts is a WONDERFUL preschool. Both of my children attend and I know picking a school is not an easy decision. We had tried one other preschool in Ellington and were looking for a "warmer and friendlier" environment. We found it at Preschool of the Arts! It's a great feeling when you notice the teachers are all happy dropping off AND picking up the kids. I have noticed a vast improvement in their social skills and am amazed by how much they are learning! The whole family is looking forward to their next little concert!!

This childcare program is the absolute best. Our son went there for less than a year; only cut short due to COVID. We all loved the staff at the facility and all the programs the children were involved in were highly engaging and motivational. Our son was happy and healthy each and every day he was in their care. We would recommend this place in the highest regard to anyone looking for a Preschool program. They had a well rounded program and involved families in the learning and development of the children. Our only regret is that our son did not get to spend more time at this center. They had really great programs and events planned for the remainder of the year that were cut short.

I am a public school teacher with a degree in early childhood education, so when I was looking for preschools for my own kids, the bar was pretty high. We have been at PSA for 2 years now and love the intimate setting, expertise of the teachers, and outside time our kids multiple times a day. Here my kids aren't just a number, they are part of the PSA family!
