The church is open to tourists. Large collection of historical photographs. Gives you a historical understanding of Natchez via pictures. It's well worth the visit. Free but donation requested.
I stopped by while I was in the area to see the history of Natchez in pictures. They are mainly on the second floor, and the elevator was not working. Many rooms filled with pictures and it seemed to flow well from one room to the next. I would recommend for anyone in the area.
Truly a local treasure. This collection is thoughtfully arranged and contains details of each photo. Admission is by donation.
We visited to see the photo exhibit here. OUTSTANDING. Just only wish they had books of the photos for sale. What a story they tell about the city. So much could be done with them.
We read online about the historical photography in the back section of the church and wanted to see this exhibit. We had missed it on our first visit to the city a few years ago. We park and walk up to the doors but they were locked. We knocked and knocked but nothing. There was a red bus stop (the hop on/off tourist bus) right there, so they know people may stop by. I checked the hours on the door and we were within those hours. I'm not sure what was going on. We will have to try again at a later visit.
