If you are anything like me, you did/are doing hours of research when looking into local childcare programs! I valued reviews and now have lived firsthand the comfort, joy, and growth that PT provides. Our daughter has flourished at Precious Time. In 2023, on her first day, at nearly 14 months old our baby didn't yet walk. By her third day she proudly toddled into her Turtles classroom smiling. Without a word spoken, her teachers noticed and cheered her on. The warmth of the staff was palpable and opposite of our previous attempt at finding childcare locally. We immediately felt safe, heard, and a part of the team in our child's development. The way in which teachers engage with, guide, comfort, and speak to our daughter is calm and naturally so patient. They update us reliably throughout the day - I seek their input on milestone questions. We see the impact to the human our child is becoming in the nurturing support, positive talk, and joyful environment. We know others have similar stories to share!
I had a very disappointing experience at this daycare. Despite claiming to be a special needs daycare, the staff seemed completely unprepared and unknowledgeable about how to care for autistic children. The facility itself didn't seem clean or well-maintained, which was a big concern for me. The owner kept pushing me to apply for subsidized care through the state, mentioning it around 20 times during our conversation. It felt like their main focus was on making more money by charging higher rates as a "special needs school" rather than genuinely caring for the children. Additionally, the staff were unprofessional and rude, not only towards me but also towards the children. The overall environment felt chaotic and disrespectful. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone, especially parents of special needs children who are looking for a safe and supportive environment.
If I were able to assign zero stars to this establishment, I would undoubtedly exercise that option. It is imperative that you conduct thorough research prior to enrolling your children here. Despite our initial willingness to give this place a chance, considering the mixed reviews, it became apparent that those who had negative experiences were indeed accurate, whereas those who had positive experiences were simply fortunate. The management is in a constant state of flux, struggling to retain staff members. Regrettably, when it comes to addressing complaints or inquiries, there is a notable lack of transparency and responsiveness. One must persistently send messages or make phone calls, repeatedly asking for resolution, yet to no avail. Even if a resolution is eventually reached, it invariably takes a substantial amount of time. While some members of the staff demonstrate exceptional competence, others do not meet the same standard. It is therefore imperative that you conduct thorough research. As someone who maintains a highly positive outlook on life, it was disheartening to be advised to attend classes aimed at cultivating a more positive mindset – an experience that truly felt like a personal blow.
My daughter transitioned here from an in home daycare. Initially I was nervous but the staff made sure the transition was easy not only for her but for my husband and I as well. Ms. Tyesha and Ms. Susan were extremely helpful. These ladies went above and beyond to accommodate us. The facility is well maintained and the staff are all polite, well educated and love children. Knowingly my pride and joy is in good hands gives me a peace of mind.
Have a history with precious time. Overall a great safe place for children. I have only had 1 negative experience in which a child didn't make it to bathroom in time due to a staff member telling her to wait. Then when the parent picked the child up the staff didn't even bother cleaning the child off. Other than that they do a lot of cool trips and keep the kids very active.
