What Parents Say
Play Academy receives consistently high praise for caring, experienced staff who genuinely invest in children's development and well-being. Parents highlight engaging activities, outdoor time, and personalized attention. However, some parents note concerns about limited operating hours that may not accommodate all working schedules and issues with their third-party payment system.
Play Academy is an absolutely spectacular daycare. As first-time parents, their advice was an invaluable resource for us in navigating our daughter's growth over her first year, and it was clear how much they cared for each and every child. Their back-of-house organization and professionalization also greatly impressed us -- they truly have thought of everything. We ended up having to move out of the area shortly after our daughter turned 1 and leaving Play Academy was by far the deepest sting of the move. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Our experience with our child in the infant room could not have been more amazing. The teachers are so experienced -Miss Livia has been there 15 years and both she and Miss Stephanie take great care of our baby.
Wonderful center - my son feels such love from the teachers and administrative staff. He always comes home talking about the fun games he played with his friends, the walks they go on outside, and new songs he has learned! Thanks to everyone here for caring so much about these kids.
Both of my children attended play academy from infants until they were ready to enter school. The staff, management and owner are amazing and dedicated to the children. With activities and a personal touch that makes all the difference.
The teachers are great and really care about the kids, and they do lots of activities. The downsides are the hours of operation and automatic payment system. They have a rule against bringing your child in after 9:30AM (without notifying them first), and the absolute latest you can pickup is 5:30PM. The automatic online payment system is through a 3rd party payment provider. DO NOT use this payment provider. They require (get this) your bank's online userID and password to authorize 1st payment!!! Never ever ever give someone this information. Just have your bank mail a check every week on a schedule instead. I feel for small business owners here (day care). Setting up all this online stuff isn't easy, especially if your expertise is in child care, not computers, but the payment system really needs to be a different provider. That being said, the teachers are great and overall the day care is good!
