What Parents Say
Note: Reviews provided are for Pikes Peak Community College, not a daycare center. Reviews are mixed, with praise for affordability, military friendliness, and quality instruction, but significant complaints about poor communication, unresponsive staff, and administrative issues.
Seriously the most worthless college. The staff is far from helpful and has no follow through. I've reached out to Balinda numberous times with no contact back, I wasted over an hour with her just on passwords. You'll have better luck nailing water to a tree than getting help from the staff. Getting my transcripts and going somewhere where the staff truly supports students looking to further their education.
A joke. You try to talk to people to get enrolled get told to go online instead. Some of us would prefer to talk to people. I finally was able to get a meeting with a real person and was told id be contacted for classes and never heard from anyone. No calls no emails they enrolled me to the school but never got my classes. Now the courses i needed are full thanks for nothing useless staff. Ill make sure i continue to talk down about this place and recommend people look else where
If you’re expecting an insanely high quality university, look elsewhere. Although, I feel PPSC outweighs other local options. Affordable, Military Friendly. ☑️ Recently changed from community to state. ☑️ Helpful staff members (sometimes long-winded, but it gets done). ☑️ Ample variety of courses. ☑️
I've been going to this school for two years now and I will admit I haven't been the greatest student but I still kept trying to keep my head high and continue with my education. But it's gotten to the point that registering for classes is a major pain in the butt and a major source of anxiety for me. Everytime I've tried to register for classes each semester I'm met with a different problem one after another that I've had to constantly make an appointment with advisors who struggled at their job just to go to a school that charges 2,000$ for only two classes
So far not impressed. Total lack of communication. My daughter's advisor canceled her original appointment this summer. It was practically impossible for my daughter to get anyone to help her by phone. She had to go several times in person only for more people to drop the ball. Her advising appointment got scheduled days before school started. She got stuck taking 2 classes she didn't even want, one of them far away at the campus on the other side of town. I reached out to express my frustration. My daughter was told she could speak to someone in Student Services. That went nowhere. The guy just told her nothing could be done. Very unprofessional handling of this whole situation.
