Absolutely great, yes I’m in the 5th grade but I used to go to this school and I made a lot of friends here who I still talk to today! Every teacher was absolutely wonderful, funny, and kind. They aren’t ones who yell over small things and take control easily this school was a experience, and is awesome!

I cannot express enough gratitude for Mrs. Tameka and the incredible impact she has had on my son's education and development. My family has been part of this school community for years, and I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and care that Mrs. Tameka brings to her classroom every single day. When my son first started in her class, he was extremely shy and rarely spoke up. I was concerned about his confidence and communication skills. However, under Mrs. Tameka's patient guidance and nurturing approach, he has completely transformed. Not only is he now speaking confidently, but he's reading at almost a second-grade level – something I never imagined possible so quickly. What sets Mrs. Tameka apart is the genuine time and attention she invests in each of her students. She doesn't just teach; she truly cares about their individual growth and development. Her classroom environment fosters confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning that extends far beyond school hours. The positive changes I've seen in my son are exactly why I continue to enroll my children at this school. Teachers like Mrs. Tameka are rare gems who make all the difference in a child's educational journey. She absolutely deserves all the recognition and appreciation for the life-changing work she does. Thank you, Mrs. Tameka, for believing in my son and helping him find his voice. You are truly making a lasting impact on our family and so many others.

If your child has an IEP, beware. We planned to apply to Phyls Academy Prep School (Margate) using the FES-UA Step-Up scholarship. They had our son’s IEP for months, and we showed up for what was supposed to be his Kindergarten testing — only to be told that day that they don’t have the staff or resources for him. They refused to even test him. In all the email correspondence they neglected to say that - or we would not have rescheduled our entire day to have it wasted by the staff again. The Elementary Director, Jalaja Cooke, told me I “show no care or concern” for choosing a private school over public — without asking a single question about the support he receives. In all our email correspondence and meetings, this was the first time we ever met this person, and she was uninformed as a whole about who we were, what the meeting was for, and why we were there. The whole interaction was offensive, unprofessional and felt discriminatory. We emailed them multiple times and showed up for three in-person visits, only to be told they do not accept autistic children (even mild ones). If they aren’t equipped, they should be honest upfront — not waste families’ time. They also need to be removed from the FESUA Scholarship portal as an option for parents because they do not cater to anyone with unique abilities. We dodged a bullet by not enrolling here.

Phyls summer program this year by far 10/10, thanks to Mrs.Tameka and the counselors and staff. Organized, weekly updates and pictures and kids had an excellent experience:David’s Swim school, water parks, Zoo trips, lots of activities. Can’t wait until next year!!!

We needed a top-notch school with a strong academic curriculum. After thoroughly assessments, we selected Phyl's Academy for our daughter. We are proud to say that our daughter has been part of the Phyl's Academy family since she was 2 years old. The school offers an environment that is academically challenging, caring and so much more. When my daughter took an assessment during her 5th grade year, her reading level was at college level. The teachers and administrators are very supportive to the child and parents. They are looking for the best interest of the child. Hence, Phyl's Academy is preparing my child to be successful in the future. We couldn’t pick a better school than Phyl’s Academy.
