This is my toddler’s first year at PMS and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The teaching team is incredibly supportive, caring and down to earth. My little one can be slow to warm up to new adults and situations and she absolutely loves school. It is clear that she feels safe and is being provided with learning opportunities that she wouldn’t otherwise have. I was on the fence about putting my toddler in preschool this school year and am so happy that we did. It has been a very positive experience for our family. One of my favorite aspects of PMS is that younger students are exposed to what their older peers are learning. My toddler will talk about concepts that are a little too advanced for her to fully grasp yet but she is so interested in what her older peers are doing that she is absorbing information. I really feel like philomath montessori is encouraging her independence, self-confidence and curiosity about the world and love of learning learning.
After just 3 months at PhMS, our kiddo has developed into a young person with passions for creating art and food, showing respect for the spaces they inhabit and displaying common courtesy to family and friends. Doni, Jessica and Kathryn are outstanding models for how to exist in the world. They make my kid feel capable to take on new challenges and sit with frustration. My kid will be well prepared for future schooling environments with such a strong foundation.
It has been an excellent experience all around for both our kiddos. The school's approach meshes nicely with how we want our kids to engage with the world. and it has been awesome to see them grow in to engaged, kind and open little people.
Philomath Montessori School has changed my daughters life. She is going to be a different person from attending this school. It is such an incredible place for her to spend her first three years of school. She is not only learning skills for life, but learning how to be a part of a community of generosity and kindness. Jessica and Doni are powerful women that take educating my kid so seriously. They are extremely smart, caring, patient, and invested. And Katherine is the sun in the sky for my daughter. I cannot recommend this school any higher. It has been a privilege to share the journey of my daughter’s education with these three women. I only wish that this school went longer.
Philomath Montessori School is a great environment. The staff is very experienced and they interact wonderfully with our son. They've also been a great resource for us as parents. It's been very comforting to know our child is in such capable hands.
