Peppertree Pre School

As a parent, finding a school you can trust with your little ones is no small feat, and Peppertree Schools of Los Gatos has been an absolute gem for our family. We have two girls under two, and from the very beginning, the warmth and care from Ms Danna, the Director and Co-Owner, have made us feel like we're part of a big, caring family. The staff's loving and nurturing approach is evident in every interaction. They go above and beyond to ensure not only the educational but also the emotional and social development of our children. Communication is excellent, keeping us connected and involved in our girls' education and daily adventures.

At best this business is irresponsible. At worst they could be fraudulent and discriminatory. In November 2022 I toured this daycare (when my baby was 4 months old). In December 2022 I submitted a deposit to secure a spot for my baby beginning in October 2023. I submitted the deposit 10 months in advance of the start date. In August 2023 I reached out via email to the director requesting the nap schedule and finalizing the details of the specific number of days needed (2 or 3) and which specific days of the week. The director suggested moving the communication to the generic email address, which she did and I responded on that thread. We were going back and forth about a time to come in to assess whether my baby should join the infant or toddler rooms, given his age was on the cusp. Abruptly I was told “the space is no longer available.” Meanwhile, my friend had a baby the exact same age, starting the same month, the same number of days, who submitted their deposit over 6 months after me. That baby was accepted. After multiple attempts, the manager would not answer “How are you prioritizing acceptances?” She said that perhaps the fit was “not good from the beginning.” This is a red flag for discrimination. Teachers come and go and there is a need to maintain ratios. If that were the case, then why did my baby’s spot evaporate (even with a deposit) and someone on the list after me admitted instead? Based on other reviews, this is not the first time this business has mismanaged funds from deposits. I strongly discourage anyone from giving money to this establishment. Like I said, in the best case this daycare is irresponsible, but in the worst case, they could be fraudulent and discriminatory. In my case, they made decisions based on factors they were unwilling to reveal and I had to abruptly find new care my first month back at work, even though I’d prepared and paid almost a year in advance.

I really love Peppertree Cottage house! My daughter transitioned from ranch house a few months ago and she is thriving at Cottage! I really love their play based approach and how they encourage the children's curiosity and exploration. Her teacher is amazing my daughter really loves her and she makes learning fun! she holds a BA in early childhood education. The director is doing an amazing job, all the teachers are professional respectful and create bonds with the children and their families which is a great thing! It's reassuring to know your leaving your child in the hands of wonderful teachers who are passionate about what they do and have a genuine care for each child. Thank you Peppertree Cottage house for being a part of my daughter's developmental growth and educational success!

I have my 4 month old Grand Daughter at this location and they are wonderful. Danna the Director is hands on and she has extensive experience in day care. Her staff is well trained and passionate about there work. They are organized and caring with attention to each child's personality and needs. My daughter is a nurse with an early shift so I help by occasionally bringing my Grand Daughter into Peppertree in the morning. As with any organization it is all about PEOPLE. What I see at Peppertree is a lot of excellent PEOPLE.

My son has attended here full-time for the last 18 months in the Pre-K and TK classes. We love it here. The teachers and staff are amazing with the kids, and my kiddo has learned so many skills to get ready for kinder. They open earlier than many preschools, which is good for us teachers out there!
