This is simply an amazing school, an absolutely terrific choice, and we could not be happier with the decision to enroll our two young children here. After three happy years at this school here is our five-star review: The school is full of kindness and learning and creativity - with terrific teachers and staff plus engaged and very supportive parents. Our two kids have thrived here, learning as toddlers all the foundational skills for the road ahead, including letters, numbers, how to hold and write with a pencil, nature, geography, music, drawing and painting, and even learning to read - all while being toddlers and having fun with their friends. Our oldest transitioned to public school kindergarten this year and has all of the social and learning framework to thrive. (The school also offers an excellent kindergarten program on campus). Our youngest is in his second year (TK equivalent) at the school and is learning so much about our world - he brings home art and drawings where he learns about insects and fish and birds. The campus has play areas, patios and courtyards, an auditorium, and easy drop off and pick up areas with lots of parking. The parent community here is engaged and caring as well, sponsoring special fesitvals throughout the year and learning events. Our family could not be happier with Peninsula Montessori School and we are so grateful to all the staff who have helped all of our kids thrive.
Loving and kind learning environment. I could not be more pleased that we chose this school to send our son. He started in the toddler program when he was 3 and continued, doing preschool and is now wrapping up kindergarten. All teachers are excellent, especially Ms.Alice the school director (who also teaches). They are loving and very nurturing and have a calm and supportive energy. The support staff is always cheerful and helpful with any needs you may have (they also have an optional curbside drop off for those days when you're running late or it's raining). The curriculum is EXCELLENT and exceeded all my expectations. All areas of life are addressed and my 6 year old not only knows about the world (having studied a new country every year, like Australia and Finland), but is also reading, writing and has math, language and science skills that I never had at that age. Some classes have several age groups, which has really fosters a "working together" atmosphere (my son gets to help younger kids and was helped by older kids when he was he "young one" in the class). I wish I could keep him here through high school. They are helping me prepare him to become a kind, educated and nice citizen of the world.
My kid went completely backwards here....staff very uncaring where's the $$$$
