What Parents Say
Peanuts Daycare receives mostly positive reviews praising staff care, flexibility, and child development activities. However, some parents report billing disputes and poor communication regarding refunds for unused services.
Excellent people. Have been in many daycares across the country and this one has been by far the best. Can’t recommend this place enough.. Miss Ivy is awesome, and she truly cares for your child like her own.
My 8 month old son and I love peanuts! They're very flexible with families who don't work your typical monday - friday 9-5 jobs. They always have something going on for all the children and babies. Every week my son is sent home with numerous art projects he did while there which I love to hang on the refrigerator. They listen and follow through with any special needs your child or you have. I'm very please with the staff and care of my child!
My son loves this place! We were so nervous about putting him day care but it ended up being such a great place for him. He is respected and loved by all the staff. He talks about it all the time and looks forward to going.
Amazing people, lovely setup…the sheer kindness and care at Peanuts was palpable. Baby came home happy and more social- I could not have been happier.
My wife and I signed up our son at peanuts daycare in Southampton, MA. He was 3+ months old at the time. She is currently in college still and working part time, after crunching the numbers she decided that it wouldn't make sense to keep him in daycare and I agree. Infant daycare here is currently $247/week..with that being said we spoke to her employer( orignianlly thinking she was going back full time ) and they told her they can offer her a part time position, so then we didnt need child care, we have family who can watch him. His very first day at peanuts we called to tell them that we would not be attending due to the situation. The director named Beth Wilcox said that she would contact Linda the owner and see what she could do. This was Tuesday we paid $247 for the week, $247 for last week and $40 security deposit, total of $534. We needed him in daycare for the next day as well and still no word from Linda Bachteler the owner. So long stoery short. He was in daycare for the full day on Tuesday part day on Wednesday and part day on Thursday and we took him out Friday because we didnt need daycare and did not want to use up more money. Still no word from Linda, they said to call Friday and she will be in before 9:30am. so I called, the techer was snotty because I kept calling and she said Linda wasn't there and Beth was off Again. This was memorial day weekend so I had to call back on Tuesday. I am ticked off at this point because we made them aware of the situation the very first day. I finally got a hold of Beth on tuesday and she said, too bad, there's nothing we can do, we are keeping all the money. I said well having known that we would have kept him in daycare. We are not rich by any means, we are in our early twenties. It's just bad business. They had very poor communication throughout the whole process, their daily rates are $57.50 full day... what we expected was for them to charge us 3 days.. maybe or maybe not keeping the security deposit, we were hoping they would give us back $321.50-$361.50 , but they decided they didn't want to communicate or do the right thing. To them it was worth keeping our estimated $350 we should have been entitled to. They don't look at it like a business should. Once she graduates and gets the job she wants, what if we wanted to go back, that would be more $$ in their pockets. Also we know a TON of people who are our age who have kids and are expecting kids , and plently of people who have grand kids on the way. So even if we deterred 1 friend of family member away that would have had child enrolled for an estimated year lets say thats $12,844.00 that they will lose out on. $12844 per year!!. Does that make sense as a business, you be the judge. I also have to agree with other people. This place is messy and cluttered and not worth the money. Check out some other daycares. Hope this helps others before they decide to enroll. Thanks for reading
