What Parents Say
Peak Academy has mixed reviews with strong praise from satisfied parents highlighting educational quality, staff dedication, and positive child development outcomes. However, multiple recent complaints describe inconsistent policies, poor staff conduct, and inadequate adjustment periods for new enrollees.
My daughter has had the pleasure of attending this child care facility! It was life changing for her and prepared her for school. I love how the director is always focused on educating and building confidence in the young minds of the academy. This facility lives and breathes core values every home should have. The staff comes up with new ways to challenge the minds of these children. My daughter got things from the facility that I was unable to provided at a point and still to this day my daughter is 15 years old and they still check on her from time to time! Great job educating our future!
My children daycare closed, so I had to find them a new daycare. I work from home, which the childcare I chose usually goes to my older son school, but was also up the street from me. One day I went to the daycare to check it out. They were closed FOR A WEEK😳 I was a holiday i understand but I was like Father’s Day weekend so I week seems like a stretch. Okay. Went back when they opened up. Spoke to the director who stated they will have to see if anything is available for my younger child who’s 1, but could work my 5 yr old in. Okay so boom called the next day he said they have open availability for both to come and sit down and talk with him about their requirements. No biggy. We sat down discussed a couple thing and then he told me their under investigation for a child touching another child inappropriately. I got an understanding of both sides. But was ery a little bit. I loved their program and what it stands for because I don’t want my child of color to be another statistic, so helping them learn as well as me helping would have did great justice. I still wanted them to go even through all of that to give them a chance. The director told me they do give them a 2 week grace period to adjust. Said it multiple times and even signed paperwork with still 2 week grace period. I left the campus with the paperwork ready to sign, but waited until the closed my sons previous daycare which only took 4-5 days most. I filled out the paperwork took it back to them and guess what no one was at the center. I rung the door bell twice nothing so I left. Came back the next day and the director stated if it was after 5pm then we were closed I said no it was around 12 and I ring twice and it was dark. He said oh that’s their nap time and sorry your right we still should of heard the bell. We discussed my kids joining again, they he states there is no room for my 1 yr old mind you last week you had to check and there was, now someone else filled out there paperwork before me and got the spot. Okay cool so I ask what if my 5 yr still come until I find both them a daycare. He stated yes, come back Friday to watch there little program then my 5yr old can start Monday 07/28. Well Friday I worked OT and wasn’t able to make it. Monday came and guess what dropped my son off 7:15am told the director his name again for the 3rd time. I get it’s gone take sometime to get use to, but around 7:45am I was getting a call. The director stated can you come up here and get this boy and we need to talk about the program then hung up 😳😳 I’m like wait my son has a name. So I go get him and he tells me my son was running back and forth, pulling beads out his hair, and taking his shoes off. Granted my son got in trouble for that because I don’t play that. But my son did not get in trouble for getting kicked out because I knew something was wrong. I ask the director so he can’t come back, he stated no he is not ready. My thing is you stated you give them 2 weeks to determine if there ready or not and you barley gave him 30 mins. I get it my son is shy and does throw tantrum or don’t want to talk when he’s around people he don’t know, BUT I promise you this if you would of gave him 2 weeks or a week for that matter you would of seen that he adjust well and is very smart, helpful, and sweet. But hey y'all loss. Just wanted people to be aware. I’m not from here. Only been here a 1yr 1/2 and was questioning after my son first daycare closed if I even wanted to put them in another one, but guess I got my answer
We absolutely love Peak Academy! My 1 1/2 yr old daughter never stayed with anyone else but whenever I returned to work she had to start daycare whenever she was 10mo old. This place is hands down the best. I would recommend them to anyone! They have made it a very comfortable experience. My daughter absolutely loves all of her teachers as well. We hope to stay at peak until school years! ❤❤
I love this daycare. It’s awesome I have a 4 and 9 year old here and they both love it. I love seeing my kids excited to go everyday. My oldest had trouble with a kid being mean to him once and I spoke with the director once about it and there has never been another complaint. The people are great and bilingual and the center itself is really nice. Definitely recommend to anyone.
I am always picking up my kid from school so I wait in line and read till my kid gets out. Everyday I sit there I hear the van driver to your daycare center yell at the other kids waiting inside the van. But today she was just plain nasty she yelled "DO YOU GUYS JUST EVER SHUT UP. I AM TELLING SHUT YOUR MOUTHS AND BE QUIET I AM TIRED OF LISTENING TO YOU" she is an older woman who has a bitter demeanor just plain grouchy. I feel so bad for the other kids sitting there waiting with her no child whose parents are paying for childcare should have to put up with her horrible attitude. I thought they received proper child training but I guess not.
